(Just to play devils advocate, what makes people feel they deserve to have items kept from other players? Seems to be a two way street...)

Besides very specific items SE said "this is for you 1.0 player and only you" I don't think it makes sense to argue against it.

Bashing people whom stick to a terrible game out of rabid fanboism, Watch it fail, be remade, and want the successful remake to be more like the failure.
I have owned and played every final fantasy. (Except mystic quest on nes, rented it from blockbuster).
It took me one day to realize 1.0 sucked. The collectors edition was the first anything I wish I could return and get my money back. (And I spend more on lunch than that crap)
I wish I had stock in SE to dump like that one dude who hated it so much he sold all his stock.

That was a pretty angry guy sold $26 million in stock cause he hated 1.0 so much.
