Its a really sucky system right now. This whole FC-only housing thing is just out of control. I never imagined how crappy (exclusive) it would turn out. Personal housing (I assume) fixes all of this, not sure what the delay is.

I grew the fruits for my FC myself and placed in the Company Chest for everyone to use.

A large number of people don't do this sadly. so get a better FC is much harder then you think it is to not see that.

If you're really so salty about it buy your own house and capitalise on it while the market is hot. It's so incredibly easy to make the money of a small plot back through gardening.
New items in MMOs are always in huge demand for high prices until the rush dies down. So either be patient or do something about it yourself.

It's basic economics. It is acceptable. What else do you want? People to just run around sprinkling them into the air? The cost will drop as less people need them in their own FCs. Get over it and be patient.

its a lot easier than you think, maybe you are just looking for the wrong things. you see all those tiny little FCs that dont seem to have a lot going on? those are generally a lot nicer and friendlier than the FC with 200+. lower your standards a bit and you might find nice people.

And forgo being part of a FC. Or go into the journey of being the GM of a FC, which is not something everybody wants to do.
Unless you pay a higher valued subscription to have a second char in the same world. SO NICE #not.

Not to mention to have a small house, even if you do have a separate char with a one-man FC which owns a house, you need a huge starting capital. Which most people don't have. Housing is still too expensive for the individual.
