Can we get female outfits that are a little sexier?

Fishnet gear, like the black pants with fishnet inlays on the innerpart of the leg wear that FFXI ninja females had.
See-through transparent robes / dresses / hose. (obviously nothing too naughty)
The striped black / white stockings from easter event NPC's for all females!
More dresses , long short, leather, cloth, silk...etc
High boots, Pirate pumps (aka. Pirates of the caribbean boots / FFXI Artifact boots) or high level Dodoskin Shoes.
More undergarment choices for male & females.
Whips !

Side note:
Id love to see capes too one day, not to be WoW cloneish but FF could have their
own style of capes, kinda like scarf-capes or something, Vincent-style from FFVII & AC etc.

And finally, the one & only hot looking gear.... the white-mage artifact set from FFXI.

Id love to see this in FFXIV too, even if its saved for later when new classes are introduced.
It was perfect from robe to feet. (cept the wierd condom hat.) it should have been a hood connected to the robe if any, or plain make the head gear for itlook like a hood so if you can have the option to show / hide it.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. There are some interesting ideas that are being presented in the thread - and I'm sure everyone can agree that we don't want to go overboard, but it can still be something fun to implement. Any specific types of outfits/armors you want to see specifically? I'll try and compile a list for the dev. team to peruse.

Something like Agrias from FFT wore or Raveness from Tactics orge wore.
Lenith's Armor from Valkrye Profile would be cool
I loved Lulu's outfit from FFX and anything in the gothic or gothic lolita category would be cool.
Yuna's outfit from FFX was good too.
Skirts (nothing covering the legs) and dresses would be a nice addition.
Body suits (with and without armor on top) would be a little more risque, but could be something both genders could wear.
Kunoichi outfits would be a good addition.
I find corsets to be sexy.
Some people think black chokers are sexy.
High heel shoes and high heeled boots might be a good idea.



I'll add more when I can think of it.


EDIT: shiva cosplay for females might be cool.

Hmm, I guess I would not mind a nice pair of black, white or denim blue jeans for my character. With a good body shape, the common jeans look can be sexy and still fashionable on the female characters. The trousers in the game do not really look like the trousers that come to mind for me at all.

Bayohne I would just like to see as I mentioned on several occasions in this forum, not really any specific type of gear but I would love to see regional gear as stated before. Uldah you could have some gear that could only be made or bought there that resembles stuff that people that live in the desert or canyon type areas would wear. Gridania would be forest clothes and armor etc. and LL you would have swashbuckling gear/ coastal type dress styles. LL would see the more revealing type of gear because of its coastal climate, hot and humid so you might find your beach style clothes or stuff that follow in that suit. I really hope you present this idea to the dev team and then they could figure out what bests suits what areas of the world and implement it for us. We really like to give ideas but some of us like to give an idea and see you guys elaborate and expand on it from there and surprise us.

There have been lots of nice suggestions in this thread. ^^ And I also really liked most of Eldaena's sketches, especially the white mage one. It is amazing how a little bit of skin and good style can make clothing so attractive.

But some of the suggestions make me cringe. Hot pants/micro minis and armor bikinis? Midriff tops and low-cut strapless tops? Really? I disagree with "just have female characters show more skin" and "less is more" as advice for the dev team here. I want to see some style, not skin.

Now that I'm done being a fun-spoiling prudish wet blanket how about:
- sleek-fitting knee boots
- side-button ankle boots with a low heel
- non-clunky flat shoes with a bit of a curled/pointed toe ("fairy shoes")
- more tights/stockings
- waist pieces that are more decorative or act as a small overskirt (would look great with tights!)
- long and mid-length flowing skirts
- short dresses, maybe about the length of the current tabards
- robes with interesting hem lines, such as an jagged or handkerchief hem
