I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

We need a more ample and diverse gear selection (and if some of them show more skin, fine) but I really don't want every outfit to make women look like street-walkers. lol

Poor Ul'dahn prostitutes, what can a whore wear anymore that says "No, I'm really selling this! I'm not just going to the leve counter!!"

Awesome! Great job with those.
< Some of my rough sketches =P >
As well as the sort of clothing we would possibly see in something like Final Fantasy Tactics. (The original game.) The art style for that clothing was good. Also, it was earlier mentioned about location specific gear. Such as, what I would imagine is:
Ul'dah clothing, being in the desert, could look something like Auron (FFX) and Fang (FFXIII) inspiried? (Ul'dah style also seems to be heading down the road of a-symmetrical gear anyway, due to the Grand Company leader, lol.)
Gridania clothing, being amongst the nature similar to Pulse, I would say could have a look inspired by Vanille (FFXIII) and Kimihari Ronso (FFX.) (Rough and somewhat tattered, but also appealing and more tribal feeling.)
Then with Limsa style clothing, perhaps something more steam punk like Balthier (FFXII), Zidane (FFIX), and sort of Dagger (FFIX).
Last but not least, Ishgardian style to me would just be equavalent to Ivalice style. Final fantasy tactics and some of final fantasy XII's attire I think would fit well in that society.
Just some ideas that you could easily get inspiration from previous Final Fantasy titles. =)
SE could use your help to develop new gear lol.
I'd like to see some heavy armor sketches! (If you ever made one of those)
I would just tell the Devs to think, "less is more" and "have the females show more skin". At least that's the premise I get from what people are wanting. Rather then realistic gear that provides proper protection they want gear that shows off the bodies more but still provides the same if not better protection then a person clad in full plate armor lol.

Perhaps a page or two from Tactics Ogre's remake? I loved those designs when I saw the artwork, though I agree a direct lift wouldn't be so helpful.I would just tell the Devs to think, "less is more" and "have the females show more skin". I think it's entirely possible to design outfits and armor that exhibit and draw attention to the female form without making them overly sexual. For instance, instead of an unshapely robe for a female mage, you could have a gown that hugs the torso, and then flows at the waist. A cape could enhance it as well, and it could be sleeved (stopping midway before the wrist) or unsleeved as well.
Showing off the shape of a woman doesn't have to mean breasts popping out and pants 2 sizes too small!![]()
"I know not what brings men joy. Of what drives them to great deeds, of what legacies they hope to leave, I know less yet. But I do know this: The true hero of this tale was the man forgotten."

I like the white mage design Eldeana posted, the huge coat is pretty awesome.

I have a bit more difficulty drawing men (which I typically associate heavy armor with.) They end up being a bit feminine lol. But I could definitely try. Heavy armor is very intricate and precise though so it would take some time.

Thats not what i am asking for. Just that is more femine or masculine. Example buisness suite for men and women. Both are designed to fit that genders frame.I would just tell the Devs to think, "less is more" and "have the females show more skin". At least that's the premise I get from what people are wanting. Rather then realistic gear that provides proper protection they want gear that shows off the bodies more but still provides the same if not better protection then a person clad in full plate armor lol.
