It's not paint, it's light to start with ... light where red and green makes yellow. Otherwise they'd give us different base colors to play with ... Yellow being a primary color in paint, instead of a blended color in light.


I'm also starting to get the feeling that there's more than a little of the crappiest RNG on the planet involved here....

It's still a different ratio, doesn't matter if its cmyk or rgb. And since we're limited to a set of dyes instead of a color slider, the game is going to pick whatever it feels is closest. And yeah, until we have a few people do the exact same thing, I'm just going to assume SE added in some good ol' fashioned RNG.

Yeah, after seeing some recipes creating different colors, I'm wondering if each snack doesn't increase/decrease by a certain amount but instead can, for example, increase the number by some amount between 4 and 10...

Since I'm aiming for Midnight Blue, I'm thinking about using the formula we have for royal blue (it'll help see if there is any RNG variation) and adjust from there.

My choco is now cream yellow R:241, G:212, B:105

After this i gave him 2 plums and 1 pineapple, to decrease red and increase blue, and the result is Bone white, now i'm gonna feed him more pineapples to get closer to snow white.

In light of the fact that there may be some RNG involved and we're not sure how exactly the fruits work, I'm altering my plan and I'm going to use 5 apples (or however many it takes to get the message about growing new feathers) after I get my results from the plums to see if I can take my bird back to the base yellow color. Once that experiment is done, I'll use the lemon to reset my bird's color and try the same process with a different fruit.

If there's anyone who would like to try and help me with this, please let me know, and we can coordinate our efforts.

What I wonder is if the feather message is RNG, food count, or time based.
Next I will try 4 lighten-green fruits to see what happens. I won't get a drastically differently colored bird fast, but maybe slower will help with the calculations? I can hope...
