Soooo I have a story. Now that I found the right gifs I can tell it. xD
One day I decided to finally try Garuda EX.
I look up a few videos. Not just Mr Happy but Videos from Melee Perspectives so I can know where to be during each phase.


After I looked up stuff I decided to que in Duty Finder.
(I know, bad idea. I have faith in the community I guess. I beat Titan Hard mode pre echo in Darklight Armor in DF so I believe the community comes through eventually. xD)

About an hour and 30 mins later the party is formed and we arrived to fight Garuda.
The two Tanks(paladins I believe.) White Mage, Scholar, Two Black mages, Me and a Bard.
I decided to say I was new but I've seen videos. What happened next was kinda obvious.(I guess the potato caption does work cause I was food buffing while they were talking. XD)

Nobody was happy to hear that. Especially one of the Tanks and I think it was mostly the Black Mage. "Oh boy, new person." "Not what I want to hear from a Melee" and a few other things were said. I wasn't bothered though. Everyone's new at some point. xD

Eventually the fight begins.

I think I was doing pretty well against Garuda. I'm making sure not to get hit by the Wicked Wheel and staying out of the Tornado that appears around the pillars.

The rest of the group... well..

They weren't holding up very well. We get to the first Slipstream.
Mr Happy says "Get Behind the Pillar." So yeah. Get behind the pillar.
I do that. One of the Scholars doesn't. Stands in the middle of the room. Dies.

Group tries to continue. Hi there Satin plume! You little mechanic from hard you!
...ignored.
My reaction.


...How can you ignore that? It's a mechanic from hard. No seriously it put us to sleep.I think only me and one of the black mages(He didn't attack me for being new honestly)
So we die and suddenly the Scholar says he's new too.
*points to above gif* Could have said something. xD

So the Tank decides to try and explain the fight to him and we try again.
We end up dying again. Me being the last one left alive finally makes it to the sister phase and Garuda has her way with me in a way I wouldn't exactly perfer. After trying and dying again this time to being the only one alive to meet the Aerial Blast attack one of the Black mages says "This isn't going to work." Random note Black Mage died first on the second and third try. He prompty left along with the rest of the group.

I'm back at my Inn and my FC member asks me how it went.

Eventually I killed her in a PF and now I'm stuck on Titan EX.
