I'm replying to you as you seem to know how spiritbonding works. I unfortunately know very, very little about SB'ing. I am, however, currently doing my Novus quest. And thus will need tier 3 and 4 materia soon enough. I was planning on trying to convert some of my old gear to try and save gil. So what is the best level gear to use if I'm after tier 3 and 4 materia? And is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting that tier? I was under the impression that slotting low level materia into gear (which has slots, obviously) helps produce higher tiered materia when it is converted. Is this true?
