    Once the new content is out the crowds will thin. I'm of the opinion that they over did the hunt rewards and the next iteration will be less generous. My prediction for the hunts in 2.35 are that nothing will change other than an increase of the daily reward and hopefully an improvement on mob prioritization.

    exept wow don't get a patch every 3-6 month... the best example, between the last patch of mop and the next expansion, 13 month will have passed, where the game did receive no ilevel change.
    Starting in Cata they did. Firelands (June 2011) to Dragon Soul (november 2011) was a small window. Zandalari to Firelands the same.

    I'm seeing a lot of new players on Siren, so I'm not sure what your definition of failure is. Once the census happens, people can make the judgement call, but I suspect that the results are positive.

    As a person who cut their teeth on WoW, this game has been awesome. Not because of how like WoW it is, but because of how many quality of life things SE did that Blizzard wouldn't.

    Nah? Naaah. WOTLK was a high point because it let you play the game as something other than a niche raider using only the one raider-endorsed spec for each class, while still having talent decisions matter. People claim WOTLK was a precursor to the mess Cataclysm caused but in reality, having actually played both of them, they were entirely different creatures with entirely different problems.

    E: Anyway, on topic, my hunt prediction is a major nerf to reward distribution, some bland reworkings of numbers and scaling, and possibly nothing else. The interview clearly read like they didn't want to announce a nerf to spur players forward in breaking the system over their knees over the weekend.

    The issue with hunts I think the Devs truly want to address is the fact that hunts break away the need for other content. If you remove the Soldiery tomes, people will actually do their roulettes, among other things.
    Not even gonna lie, this would make me stop doing hunts for a while. I do enjoy roulettes and such but being able to max soldiery in a few hours was way too easy. I don't know if this is the case for most hunters but the only time I would hunt after that is once I needed to get some sands.

    I'm just glad that I got all the sands I really needed before the system gets "fixed." Sure, I could use more, but I got my pld to i108 (didn't want to waste a sand on the soldiery head piece), upgraded a couple of bard pieces and got two extra sands for UAT weapons.

    I use the majority of my seals for GC glam. I'd be happy if they removed logs/myth/sold. That would stop the zerg.

    I think the fixing of the daily hunt board is pretty much a given at this point. I'm thinking an increase to ~50 per day from the daily board would be reasonable. Possibly increasing the number of mobs required for each payout to reflect the higher reward as well.

    For elite marks I'm thinking something like this-
    B: Removing myth and sold entirely, increasing seals to 10. Maybe reverting the HP buff these things got to bring them back down to being soloable within a reasonable amount of time.
    A: Reducing the amount of myth to 50 and sold to 20. Leave seals unchanged, still has a chance to drop logs as well.
    S: Unchanged. Maybe some increased display priority here.

    I'd like to think that a cap is somewhat unreasonable for these, but SE does like its caps so I don't know.

    I'm simply hoping for a revamp of the way the Hunts work. They can keep the rewards how they are if they want, I just rather see the system changed. Given that the bulk of it was intended to be for smaller group and solo players, I was hoping that it'd be something similar to how treasure maps work, in that there is a claim system of sorts. The individual player has a separate cooldown for hunting down an elite. You track them through clues, as we were falsely lead to believe at first (except S ranks), and can spawn them on a cooldown based on the player/group. If you participate in the group, it counts towards your cooldown, but you do end up with the rewards. Multiple spawns can occur simultaneously, just like maps. Now if they wanted it to be open game as far as allowing people to do whatever they want, then the cooldowns would be separate for each zone. If they wanted it controlled, it'd be based on rank (kill a B rank, all B ranks are on cooldown).

    If done as intended, the open world spawn how it is now is great, as I have encountered As where only a couple people from the FC responded and did a shout for a few random people to kill it. It was fun and people enjoyed it for the content that it is. Unfortunately, how it is in reality is just another mindless zerg/grind that the player base has brought upon itself because we apparently want the rewards and not the experience (hence the zerg mentality). Sure, there's the benefit of lots of people potentially interacting, but with more people comes more negativity. The result is the rise of the self-righteous attitude of "the greater good", when they really only mean "their own."
