My understanding was the "changes" were to improve rendering for overpopulated hunts. Not so much changing mechanics or rewards.

But it's all speculation right now.

Should read through that thread, watch the video too. I bet it's going to be in the opposite direction of rendering, which is a server issue in the first place.

Basically, overpopulation is something the players created and it was totally not intended. And "seems" to be something they don't want happening.
