Melees are your typical cd whores that have to play with los, rest is just about knowin how to keep the distance and thats it ? theres no rotations in pvp, its all about burstin as hard you can, so you just chain what got the most potency as fast as you can

A free-casting healer, even if a complete scrub, can keep up with healing someone that's being attacked by poor DPS. That's the point being made.
Well then its up to your tank / bard to do what need to be done. You cant balance pvp with a one person only perspective

I'm not even sure how or why that's an argument. You ain't wrong, it should be simple, but look at scores at the end of matches and see how terrible a good amount of people are doing. Anyway, example, besides weaving in cooldowns and PvP abilities between GCD, most melee don't swap targets to keep their combo and damage going while chasing their main target. A lot of bards are still so hellbent on fighting on the flag that they ignore their distance or simply don't know how important it is. Many BLMs still don't get how Flare works. Can't count how many I've seen go off without anyone's HP budging.

So now we've come full circle and you've supported what I said from the get-go.

I can imagine you're a lot like me, wondering why people make things more difficult than they are. I'm endorsing people getting better rather than whining that healers are too much to handle.

Its so different from pve im not sure people simply come with the whole purpose of burstin super hard first and foremost, like, I ve been chased down a lot by dragoons who were just doin ttt without even doin anything else meanwhile apart your occasionnal piercing talon and all it took for me was just to anticipate the full thrust and use a cc before he could use it and sprint at that moment, that kind of thing.

But on a ratio heal / dps I kinda agree, thing is, the dps output will be higher and you shouldnt have problem if you know how to use your ccs to begin with and thats a domain where melees are currently lackin. Like 2 short duration stuns for drag + a snare that got 1 min cd when you enhance it, its not really "dps" friendly when you think about it, same for monk.

The main difference is like, its harder for melees than any other role in the game to use their most annoying tools or just be able to do their job if there isn't coordination. I know fetter ward is cool but it still doesnt immune to any knockback, any aware enough summoner / whm / scholar know this
