Why are Twin Adder's so bad?

It's for the same reason people have generally always been bad at CTF in Halo as the poster above mine basically points out.

Or battlefield Rush mode games. People always trying to rush in to stop that bomb without waiting for their party to back them up and just getting picked off one by one.

Adders has a consistant second place streak for me and I use to doubt them too for being such tree huggers. Flames have won a couple of times too as well. It's all about co-ordination or not.

Hell we had a 5X flag multiplier once... but that's probably due to the other teams not having their roster up and thus just throwing them into a state of panic (or focused too much on middle for boss add).

First, each Data Center is different...and even within each Data Center you will find 'streaks' if you will. There are certain times of day where you will find 'gee, that one team seems really on top of it' and is playing more consistant than the others. So, if you find you're always losing, try playing on a different day...or especially at a slightly different time. Like if you typically log in, do your daily roulettes etc/ then finish up with a couple matches of frontlines, swap around your play order and see if you get 'better' teams on your side and/or worse teams on the other sides. Or if you tend to play in the afternoon try evening etc.

So it really might just be the time of day you're queueing ='s less experienced Adders....or it might be that at that time of day you're often going up against a Storms or Flames pre-made. etc.

As to 'adders always lose' I'll just leave this here....we got soooo close to a 6 flag tonight. Tonight my ratio was 4:2:0 btw as an Adder.

It seems like adders has been fielding some premades later in the evening when most of the other PvPers are asleep. Id try then if you absolutely MUST HAVE WINS.

Otherwise just enjoy killing stuff.

I'm on Aether data center as well and I'm doing pretty well with Adder. Here's my record for this week so far:
1st : 17
2nd : 15
3rd : 8

I always queue with at least 1 or more friend from my fc or frontline LS. My queue group also actively take control of the party as soon as we get in and coordinate with alliance chat when we can if that matters.
In my experience so far, most Adders on Aether are cooperative and willing to listen if you aren't rude and treat them with respect whenever you ask them to help you with anything. Also remember to compliment your teammate, especially the ones that play the boring part like guarding cap and keep watch.

That being said, if you still don't want to see the positive side of our GC on Aether, I suggest that you bandwagon to Maelstrom like most already did and enjoy your queue time

Im on Odin (Chaos datacenter?) and Adders and Maelstrom are dominating (Im Maelstrom). Flames indeed seem to be left behind. Reading this thread makes me wonder why this happens on other datacenters too.

from what i hear from other Flames ppl i know, they lose alot because they lack healers. so if that's the case, it happens because all the healer quests are in Limsa (Maelstrom) and Gridania (Adders). There are no healer quests in Uldah (Flames) so naturally, people choose the GC they are used to playing in.

I've really noticed Adders getting frequently crushed on Aether lately. I don't see too many Adders on the month's loadstone leaderboards.

Hit the nail on the head there as I am also on Primal server but unlike the experiences that my fellow primal data center PVP'ers have posted earlier, my experience in frontlines is that the adders are terribad (to the point of non competitive) during the times that I play it (late at night. 10:30 pm est and later). They perpetually come in last place during that time and the flames provide the most challenge (occassionaly beating maelstrom and rolling 3 to 4 healers deep per party). But as you can see in this thread alone there are times when the adders are actually really good. It really does seem to depend on the time of day if there are discrepancies in GC performances even within the same data center.

I'm in your DS and Adders have been pretty bad since I switched to them but they're getting better. They should go middle far more often though...seems to be their one losing factor.
