I feel you on the ST/CT stuff. Sometimes I get runs where I question my ability to heal, because it seems like I just can't keep up. Then the next run will go perfectly

I get this a lot (with exception of Ultima Hard.... I just always seem to derp hard and nothing else for some reason). First run ever of Stone Vigil Hard - pretty good. Smooth. Second run with well geared tank - I end up doing craptastic.

This will be my first rant here. I main an i96 SCH and have WHM at 50 as well.

Recently I've been attempting Primal Exs and I enjoy them a lot (yet only managed to get through Garuda so far). A few of us from my FC decided to attempt Levi Ex with the DF finding the last couple people for us. Didn't go so well, and after a few wipes the WHM says in chat "linoge are you even healing? your mp isnt going down" and I had to facepalm. This WHM had been hitting 30% MP before the first set of spumes were up every run. Meanwhile I was only spamming heals as necessary (Eos CDs + Rouse saved me a lot of trouble) and I was using Aetherflow and Lustrate as often as I could to save on MP as well. During the next run I noticed that the WHM was overhealing by about 500+ constantly not including the Medica II ticks. Needless to say we ended up abandoning it.

Next one is Titan Ex. We had an i106 WHM who would use Medica II instantly after the first jump and would pull aggro every time. When we did eventually make it to the adds he would use Medica II right away and pull aggro on them then would run away, which screwed up the landslide from Titan several times. Kept blaming the tanks who were both i95+ saying they couldn't hold aggro worth shit.

I don't hate WHMs (I actually enjoy playing one myself from time to time), but I feel that some of them need to hold back instead of getting carried away with the massive AoE heals. One of my FC friends mains WHM and it works out great when we heal together

Went to Titan EX last week after a moment I realize that all the dps are dragoons, my brother was with me and I told him "look all the dps are going to die here" I said that as a joke because told to myself that it can't be true, we start the fight and first plumes 3 dragoons died, I was shocked, the other healer and me rez them but they died again and eventually I ran out of mana and we wiped, we tried again a couple of times later but the same thing so I left the party. After that experience I cant take seriously all the dragoons. I know that out there are some really good dragoons but I haven't met them yet.

Had a tank in Hullbreaker Isle who was either trolling, new, or just really freaking stupid. Said tank NEVER used Flash in the entire raid, which doubled the workload for me and it (yes i'm calling the player "it" because that's how low I see them) decided to run BACKWARDS, leaving me and the DPSers fighting the coffers by ourselves while the tank went in reverse. I called for a kick since I used my kick in a previous run already and the tank was like "chill brah".


I'm starting to slowly lose my respect for tanks in general...

Pug gamble, Ive come across some poor tanks, but Ive teamed with some awesome ones too. Trial and error as we learn to become better! Being a healer also, I can just say...keep me alive and I'll return the favor!

I healed in Aurum Vale once and that will be the last time I ever play that one again. That's all I have to say.

Okay here is a non-tank story!

I cast Cure II on a DPS. The animation finished, the sound pinged, I was ready to cast my next spell, but for some reason, it didn't go through. I watched the HP number only go straight down, never up, and the DPS died.

Seems like some bizarre lag issue? When I finally went "...um I'm really sorry I could have sworn that went through on time" the DPS agreed. It was horrifying to me at least because it looked like I just #$^%ed up.

I've had similar problems with Raise. I've had someone Raise me. I hear all the sounds for it. I even see that I'm targeted and part of the animation, but I never get the prompt to accept raise. I have no idea how to fix this or if I should submit this as a bug. This has happened on about 3 occasions so far.

AV horror story:
We reach Miser's Mistress and I ask if anyone doesn't know the fight, seeing the BLM and DRG aren't level synced. (Plus I would rather be safe then sorry)
No reaction from the tank and one DPS, BLM quips that they have Two level 50's....Okay? Just asking.
We pull. It made me wanna curl up in a corner and cry.
First few times, Tank doesnt run out of bad breath and gets debuffs to the face. I blow mana trying to leech the things off, despite keeping aetherflow up off CD.
Party doesnt eat fruit at three stacks, saw tank and DPS go up to as far as five stacks a few times. ._.
Seedlings come out. DPS dont get them down fast enough and they decide to cuddle with me. Now, Im eating Burrs stacks out of the woozah, despite my attempts to eat dah fruit and heal. I couldn't even toss DoTs out!
After several tries, we get Miser down to 20 with seedlings out. I call for LB....DRG does it while they're targeting a add! Dx -flails and bangs head against wall-

*shivers* I had to constantly use Cure 2's until he finally got OUT of the Puddle. I hate AV so much. I can imagine every healer throwing off their Job stones and saying "NOPE" the second Square says "Aurum Vale HARD is now available."
