Weather In Cities

One of the most important parts of any MMO is immersion. Feeling like you're IN the game world.

Something that easily ruins that for me is when it's raining in Thanalan and I walk into Ul'dah and suddenly it's not raining anymore. But if I choose to run back out to Thanalan.. it's still raining.

Long story short: Weather in cities would be a nice addition.

Or when you're standing underneath the gate in Ul'Dah that is covered by a roof and for some reason it's raining :P

This is the one thing I hated in FFXI too, the complete lack of weather effect in city (other than obviously cloudy weather). I would love to see more weather effect in cities. Please make this so!

The christmas event really reminded me how much I like weather effect in city, thanks to the snow effect (despite h ow nonsensical it is to have snow in Ul'dah! xD)

This is a major detail that's bothered me since day one.. And I refuse to believe this wasn't added due to technical reasons, because we got SNOW in every city during the Christmas event.. So yea, I see no reason for it being perpetually sunny in every city as it is right now.

Well to be fair I've noticed Limsa Lominsa foggy from time to time.

I've never noticed this myself, though it's hardly compensation for the lack of rain there. The fact that practically the entire city is outdoors and it can be raining two feet from the cities entrance but nowhere inside it is pretty ridiculous.

And it's my only impression or the 'lightnings/thunders' during a dark rainy day only appear during the ship route and not in the regular zones? If so, it should be implemented everywhere.
