2.3 fishing logic

This is seriously why I took up fishing. With my little free time that I can have I used it to fish out my fishing logs. 2.3 has crushed everything. I can't help but complain or feel like I'm betrayed because I'm pretty sure somewhere Yoshi P. said that fishing was always going to be "casual". For those that don't understand, think about this, Bubblesz put in 5 hours in this game with nothing to show. What could you of done in that 5 hours? Now what if you had a family, job, errands, etc.? You can raid for 5 hours, grind atmas, extreme primals, and at least have more to show for it than what MOST people are experiencing with 2.3 fishing. Hell, I don't even care about the rare desynth items, I just want to catch these fish.

0/10 yesterday on the olgi and captain's chalice but 43 getaways? Geez. The RNG-fishing gods do not smile upon you my fishing friend. I burned at least 150k Gil's-worth of spinach quiche and have 1 Gigantshark (a 2.2 fish) to show for it...and I only had the FC gathering buff without the f. Casual is one thing but this has devastated my views on my favorite class.

Not to discount any frustration, but If you're fully melded, with the forager's rod/hat, why are you using food on Gigantshark? D:

I wasn't. Just had the FC buff. No food is needed. I still catch it when I can without food or with for profit.

giantsharks are 2.2 fish, they are easy to obtain

just try to catch some of the 2.3 ones..

Yeah because fishing isn't about records or catching the fish. It's all about getting swimsuits out of the destroyed fish. That's totally how I pictured fishing to be in my head..

...and for the love of God let us see the weather in all zones, including a forecast for upcoming weather. I'd level a meteorologist class if that would allow me to do this. It's bad enough with the small hard coded time windows that you can at least plan around but when you miss most of the heat waves for example by just popping into the zone too late and then running across the zone it makes the whole class feel like a complete waste of time.
