Regardless, you don't need to do ST for ilvl 100 gear. So it falls in the same boat as vanity gear. Heck, you said so yourself that it's not too reliable for gear anyhow.
They could revamp it so it only needs 3 tanks. It really doesn't need 6 tanks.
Hell, you can't sand the ST gear so as a long-term investment it's not worth your weekly lockout.

i did say that, but, if youre like me, and cant get past the first wipe in t5 because you dont have a static and you have to DF everything, then ST gear is great to hold you over until you can get the weekly cap for soldiery 2 times for one main piece of gear(chest, legs) or it can give you some good gear long enough for you to get the 1300 soldiery for the main hand
Right, so it'll just take a bit longer via soldiery alone. Still no reason for them to fix content so people can access the one remaining piece of content outside of hunts. Far easier for them to just kill that too.
Just do hunts.
Find out how your server handles them (typically server LS). They're more coordinated than they look.

Unfortunately, there is a much easier and faster way to gear up: hunts. SE has essentially broken the balance of the game. Sucks, but the only thing you can do is get a spreadsheet and start roaming.
In order to make it a myth farm it'd have to be like 500 myth a run or something.
Yeah, definitely hunts fault. I'm sure people can't wait to run a 50 minute dungeons that requires 24 players with zero difficulty and drops level 80 items (that also drops from the new dungeons btw, and they are faster and also have the novelty factor). Super fun!
ITT: People realize why vertical progression and 6 months cycle is bad.
Spoiler alert: once 2.4 hits al the 2.2 and 2.3 content will become dead.

This is a problem, a lot of new players or returning players will then unable to progress through contents and enjoy everything the game has to offer. This vertical progression is really a toxic poisons. A better fix would be to introduce a +1 versions of all the gears from older content/dungeons that you can get by having the base original ones then trade with some soldiery to transform them to their lvl 110 counterpart. And make sure the new ones has two materia slots so yo can actually add some stats augments you deemed fit. Watch how suddenly older content become "must FARM" content. It's a bandaid solution yes but at least it will revitalize the older contents.
