I can confirm this is how it works.

While we're on the topic, I'd like if they could at some indication as to how much of the shield is actually left. Knowing that I crit and put a 3-4K shield someone is nice, but I'd also like to know if that shield is at a 100% or 1% remaining. Maybe have an effect that ups transparency of the icon as the shield gets chipped away, so it looks like it's fading. This could work on Stoneskin as well.
The game "Secret World" has a nice indicator for barriers from Blood Magic heals. When a barrier is applied to someone, their life bar is modified by making the portion that is protected with a barrier yellow. While we're on the topic, I'd like if they could at some indication as to how much of the shield is actually left. Actually, speaking of changing the color of flying text...
I would also like if the flying healing and damage texts for other players were a different color.
Maybe other player's heals are blue and damage is purple.
Sometimes it's hard to tell what's what. Especially in Labyrinth of the Ancients or Syrcus Tower.
I support this.

I actually really like this idea, even more so than red Galvanize icon. The game "Secret World" has a nice indicator for barriers from Blood Magic heals. When a barrier is applied to someone, their life bar is modified by making the portion that is protected with a barrier yellow.
