But what if other users don't have a machine that can run them? It's not fair to them!!!!

=_=
I'm going to pretend you're not trolling...
Voice chat is not built into the game, does not affect the game, therefore it doesn't matter in SE's policies. If someone does not in fact have the ability to run voice chat, for whatever reason, but is constantly pressured (in whatever manner) to use voice chat, this can be seen as harassment and is reportable as such.

I'm making an absurd argument I agree, but it's similar to the one that's being used against parsers. Voice chat is still an advantage some have over others. I would argue that it's actually a much bigger advantage than anything parsers give. (And is generally much more required for raiding) A parser is a data collection tool, nothing else, it doesn't give someone an unfair advantage over someone else, and it's silly to pretend that it does. If we started seeing deadly boss mods equivalent addons being created I would agree that it would put ps3 players at a severe disadvantage for raiding (though I still wouldn't support banning the mods).=_=

Ok, let's drop the console thing...I'm making an absurd argument I agree, but it's similar to the one that's being used against parsers. Voice chat is still an advantage some have over others. VoIP - doesn't touch the game
Parser/mod/addon - touches the game, may or may not be a bad touch.

You're trying way to hard.
Either at trolling or arguing.
Parsers "read" from the game client directly and or from the log file in you game folder.
^ This is a 3rd party program that's illegal, it's "interacting" with the game directly.
Voice Programs don't do this, at all.

Are you asking me personally?
If so, anything that can touch/adjust game coding for some information/benefit provides more information/potential advantages to pc users only and not consoles users is NG and shouldn't be allowed in game.
Okay if you want to make this argument you have no right to bring up "But mah PS3/PS4 users!" since if you do use a voice chat program you DO have an advantage over others that can't use said programs i.e. PS3/PS4 users. It's either okay to have an advantage or PS3/PS4 users or it isn't.

Agreed, your argument is absurd.
Its a data collection tool that provides you information. Information is not "nothing". Without information you can't do anything but when you have it, you can. Those without that same information is at a disadvantage.

Those don't directly interact with the game in any way at all though, so it doesn't matter. VoIP systems just let you speak to other people as a separate program that never touches the game.
