Just wanted to see if anyone can confirm his. My friend has registered a new square enix account and used my referral code. He bypassed the free trial and bought the game and started his character. Now I understand that the reward won't come until after he subscribes, but that's where I'm a little confused. I thought I saw that the rewards will only show up immediately if you use a game time card. Is that correct? If he subscribes through credit/debit will the rewards not appear until after the appropriate time has passed? That seems odd to me since I received veteran rewards for subscribing immediately. Any additional info would be appreciated!

If he pays with credit/debit (or with Crysta) he's not charged until the time the next month's subscription fee is due, which would be 30 days after purchase/registration of the game. The rewards come when he's charged for that sub time.

Veteran rewards work the same way. You can't get veteran rewards until your subscription fee comes due, unless you purchase with a game time card, because that's the only payment method that lets you pay in advance.
