I dont mind anyother gear. But I am not for 2 steel bra-armor-like part. I played few other mmorpgs, they re full of this. We always wondered in guilds how can the armor protect nearly naked characters. When it should be armor, let it look like armor. You re right.i rather like it atm. There ARE some cute n sexy gear combos out there if u look at the cloth gears.
I like the more or less unisex attires that FF uses. Its more logical and fair than, like some other MMOs, where a female puts on something like a steel thong and 2 steel nipple covers and call it 'heavy armor warrior'

While my battle-hardened Miqo'te certainly would never want to lead the charge into the fray in anything less than full plate armor, I'm sure it couldn't be that comfortable to lounge around in on a casual Sunday. Why not leave "real" (ie. not skimpy) armor for the real gear, and put in a bunch of vanity/costume pieces? It's a gil sink (good for the economy), it breaks up the variety of things you see people wearing around the city, and it lets you play around with how your character looks, adding your own personal flair to the game. Everyone wins!

The term "Hentai" is being thrown around far too liberally here...Hentai refers to "Sexually explicit" imagery, usually referring to Japanese anime. "Sexually Explicit", while it is different for many countries and regions, it is not hentai if there are no naughty bits involved at all. No sane MMORPG developer would include sexually explicit content to the extent of hentai as part of the game. it would be shooting themselves in the foot, especially on an international release. It is why Doujinshi markets and .dat switchers are generally not accepted as official works by SE.

Plate armor is overrated. While my battle-hardened Miqo'te certainly would never want to lead the charge into the fray in anything less than full plate armor, I'm sure it couldn't be that comfortable to lounge around in on a casual Sunday. ^ This. Practical armor will continue being added but why not allow people to have purely cosmetic clothing options? Things like just casual clothing, beach wear (for men and women), costumes, etc....Why not leave "real" (ie. not skimpy) armor for the real gear, and put in a bunch of vanity/costume pieces? It's a gil sink (good for the economy), it breaks up the variety of things you see people wearing around the city, and it lets you play around with how your character looks, adding your own personal flair to the game. Also lol@ all the people immediately jumping to "OMG HENTAI PORN!" as if that's what the OP and others are asking for. Maybe one or two people jokingly but most of the people supporting this thread are for tasteful but different options.
I'm a gay man and I approve.
Cannot wait for Tera!
There's a big difference between female models looking sexy in a TASTEFUL way compared to them looking sexy in a TACKY way, which no longer makes then sexy, but trashy. That image is tasteful, and from other pics I have looked at, there is armor that covers the body sufficiently.
Showing some cleavage on characters with realistic proportions, like in XIV is not a detriment. Sure, it might not be realistic in a combat environment, but last time I checked, neither is wearing cloth.

I agree with with what most people have said. I don't want slutty-looking characters walking around, and I don't think the devs do either. But with that said, this is still a game, and its not a super realistic one at that, which is just perfect for me, I have enough of realism in real life every day. And I do like that some gear covers the females' bodies in their entirety, but maybe some armor with a bit more cleavage or showing a little bit of the hip would look nice.

Come on, I'm already shocked by the fact that armored pants can have less armor than subligars...
