Always wondering when I see the icon of gladiator, why in world it has 2 blades instead of blade and shield. It's like picture of class which is dual blade (like bladedancer or something)

Who knows? Why is the Marauder symbol two crossed axes when they only use one? Just two of Life's may mysteries.

I'm not sure why its two weapons for each, but when 1.0 first launched shields had their own class called Sentinel. It was a sub class any one handed weapon user could use, which was probably part of the logic between one and two handed mage weapons, as with Sentinel a mage could block a fair amount of damage with a shield. I used to use wand and shield to solo on conjurer.

I could also cast while moving, had a full range of elemental nukes and no native MP recovery in battle. I still miss the first.
