My NPC linkearls are broken :S

So some long time ago I posted how my npc linkpearls wouldnt turn on when I reached the rank for a new quest to trigger em..

Ppl went on and on about how it actually triggered by touching aethers and etc.


Well today I got pug to 30 and guess what? The npc linkpearl wont turn on. Went to 3 different aethers logged in and out several times, switched classes... I did everything...nothing worked.

So yeah if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

It's a r30 job quest. You don't need your NPC Linkpearl to activate. Just go to the Pug's guild and talk to the person there.

**Edit -- And for the record, most people said that NPC Linkpearls appear to activate through some combination of touching crystals and time. They don't pop right away. Patience.

Mm seems to be random honestly. I got mrd to 30 and it turned on automatically. I just hit thm to 30 and it wotn light up no matter what.

I've noticed this as well, sometimes. Perhaps a bug report is in order, or at least a greater explanation on SE's part about why it doesn't happen. I haven't been able to find any correlation between time and/or crystals and/or ranking. It either happens when you reach the appropriate rank, or it doesn't. My own experiences lead me to believe that the problem happens when you have main plot and class quests available to you; but that is just anecdotal. I haven't really payed attention to it.

I had a NPC Linkpearl not glow or appear in the NPC Linkpearl tab, when 1st I did a crafting class R20 quest, but I went straight to the NPC in the guild and I could pick up the quest. Now, my worry is, if I hit the next rank for the quest, and I don't wait an undefined amount of time, and go straight to the NPC again, it won't show on my NPC Linkpearl list.... ever? I wouldn't like that

Yup, it will NEVER show.

I have never had a linkpearl tell me a quest was ready to be picked up. Ever.

The only time my pearl has lit up was when I was in the middle of a quest and needed to access it to proceed.
