No offense taken. To me I'm saving them from the bitterness of having to waste their time and money in a game who's quality is that of a free to play game.

You clearly haven't played many F2P MMOs if you think this game is anywhere close to their (low) level of quality. The only exceptions would be the few MMOs that went F2P post-release due to a failed launch and ALL of those have seen their updates slow to a crawl since making the switch. There is nothing about this game that is F2P quality and trying to claim that there is honestly just makes you look clueless. Just because you don't like a game does not make it a bad game. Why are you even still here if you hate it so much?

I disagree with foundation part. its build up into tiered system where older have no value to most of players
which is kill the old experience which most of people will miss.

So much this.

Fun part: I can tell my friends: hey! Join us for the fun! You won't be left behind, after about two weeks you can be iLvl110 and.. the same than most of us!

Sad part: Played since 2.0 to get there.. o.O

Consolation prize: Dual Chocobo if they join? pff..

So sad that it had potential, but some decisions made it meh.. like Atmas for starters, lots were displeased. Now Hunts, lots are displeased.

For me I'm still trying to win at this Parley game >.<

(all in all, great graphics, some great animations. Content-wise for the future.. If they fix trouble spots now, not in 3 patches.. and hopefully they release more than just one job until the expansion.. or the expansion should come soon)

What's acceptable: you can take a break from the game, come back 3 months later (or never in my case if I leave for that long ^^) and still get up par with everyone that's been working their arse to beat Coil '14'.

What I will say though, is that it feels about the right time for us to start getting information on the expansion, and it seems SE are of the same mindset with the first reveal coming at fanfest very soon. Its been great to have the patches to look forward too every 3 months, and I have particularly enjoyed frontlines from 2.3, but I feel as though A Realm Reborn has pretty much run it's course now. Fulfilled it's purpose.

Right now you feel ARR has "run its course" but in another thread ( http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...time-to-change ) you say "I like it how it is" while telling the OP whose post was about change with the next expansion to "Go find another game".

Did it take you one more week to agree with the OP of that thread? Or were you just being pretentious?

It's going to be a huge friggin' cesspool, worst than we'll ever imagine. It will be HORRIBLE. You think RMT's, people using cheats, dare I say that hated words...TOXIC players in this game is bad. I can't play many F2P games because I am dealing with RMT's paradise, children running around like babies, hackers, pure awful support and more. I can barely play TERA and look at Global chat anymore....all they do is talk about Loli Elin hentai or whatever.

This does not go to say XIV is perfect. It has flaws of course, but I wouldn't say it's F2P tier of quality. You know what I always say:
It'll get better in time...whether not SE is up to make things better.

"I like it how it is" relates to the simplicity of ARR, over making the game more complex needlessly. When I say ARR "has run it's course", I mean that most of the content added in patches recently has us retreading old content (rerunning dungeons, fates etc). I would also like to see new zones.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that you are beginning to cross the line into harassment. I won't go into detail on here but please stop or I will be forced to report.

This is a well-rounded MMO with issues just like any other video game will have.

There are time sinks,
fetch quests,
poorly designed open-world content,
bad players who somehow made it through 50 levels without learning their class,
toxic players that are something like a nation's obligatory bigots

I would ask that you don't get so wrapped up in the game that you forget that it contains people, and the people largely influence your experience with the game. Reach out to the community, be active, form groups, tackle challenges, and at some point the game will give you a good sense of satisfaction.
If you feel like you've been waiting too long for that, then leave.

No it isn't - The quality of this game far exceeds that of a free to play game. I've played a lot of free to play games and some of them I enjoyed, but you don't get new content on a regular basis you get it every half a year if you're lucky. FFXIV should not be a free to play game.
