That's a good point. Though, I'm fairly sure the crosses producing gysahl are all 100%. >.> The others might be worth re-trying though.
Hence the at least partAlso - economy differs from server ro server. But I do agree that I was really optimistic on the onion prices however considering that FC with stables would most likely have the garden patch(es) as well so if they'd decide to purchase brooms they might at least try to produce the own onions to keep the cost reasonable. Also - listed prices are meaningless (even if somebody purchased something once or twice on such high price tag) and I'd expect the prices to drop down fairly soon. For more perspective - you can say that FC with about 6 - 10 members can either fully train all their chocobos or get medium size plot & house instead. Either way - the original point of the calculation was to sum up the "unavoidable" costs e.g. mainly cost of the Krakka Root Seeds as currently there is no other know way of purchasing those. You see that I've also completely left out cost of soil and fertilizer as those are both fairly easilly obtainable.
In regards of the amount of food needed - with the sparkly clean stables each training will give you exactly 1% of total XP needed for the given level hence the nice round 100 roots counted for each level so it seems you've got your numbers somehow mixed or most likely you've missed the extra Clean state of stables (and yes - I did tracked that in details across all the levels up to lvl 10 and all three stages of "cleanliness").
I believe the later based on the description in the patch notes and considering the current "cost" / (lack of) availability of onions I doubt anyone would be brave enough to test this any time soon ...
Yes - it stays for the same of time at each cleanliness level. However I'd not recommend using your method to "save" money on the brooms as you'll be considerably wasting food instead as the XP gained on Fair is almost halved comparing to Good state resulting in more food needed hence more time wasted growing krakka while that valuable garden space and time could be used to grow something else or more food.and it stays 3 days in fair too? Because in that case the best price-exprate would be to use the stables on excellent for 3 days then use it on fair for 2days (+ a couple hours if you want to stretch it even more as long as you don't pass the 3 day mark).
That way you would only need a broom once every 5 days if you're a little low on cash (for example for smaller fcs)

True, that'S the first i heard of this; i didn't know there was a third state. how long does it stay in that state after using the broom?
- "You take care of yourself,ya?"
- "So you can punch me more?"
- "Lots 'n lots more!"
Three days, after which it drops down to fair. If you let it drop down to poor you'll need two brooms to get back to clean, which is mildly annoying. Maybe we should have hired that coinless pleb after all.
Anyone know if you can feed feed two thavnairian onions back to back to get the chocobo to unlock up to lvl 12? Or do you have to get to level 11 before feeding the second onion?

i guess it's too soon to give a definite answer but from the description of square enix i'd say that the onion is a limitbreaker. meaning you have to be at the limit for the onion to work. otherwise it will probably simply do krakka's work.
the fact that chocobos cannot get exp from training when they reached full exp to bar even on ranks below 10 seems to support this thesis. (You get an error message and have to take the chocobo out, go kill something where he gets exp and put him back in after rank up to continue training him.)
One could test the theory by not taking the chocobo out and giving him the onion on a lower rank once his bar is full to check if he then does rank up.

I'm assuming you can feed the back to back because the onions "raise the upper level limit by one" which would imply that you can keep feeding them until you get to the cap of 20.
Does anyone know, how long does it take for a ready to harvest plants to wither? A member of FC has not come to harvest, and I am afraid they will go to waste![]()
they'll be fine for about 12 hours before they start to wither (but don't die yet). i'm guessing they'll be withering for another 6-12 hours before they wither and die, but not sure; I've never let it go that far.

You could, I guess, but being in fair is still going to earn your birds less exp than if it was in good so it's less than optimal.and it stays 3 days in fair too? You honestly could just leave your stable in poor condition perpetually if you're worried about expense and willing to take the exp hit. The only disadvantage is the guilt you would feel every time you saw your chocobos surrounded by stink clouds.
