Allow us to buy Sands of Time with Soldiery

People are complaining that paying roughly 400 sol is a bad thing? You can only get 450 a week. So you'll only be able to purchase one sands-of-time with it. Opposed to the no limit of daily grinding hunts via allied seals?

Or did I get the reasoning wrong on why people think it's a bad thing? /confused

It makes perfect sense. Coil takes skill, hunts doesn't. Somebody in full Soldiery gear speaks lack of skill, because every single job utilises Coil gear for their 'best in slot' builds. By implication choosing to use full hunts gear either makes you bad at knowing what's good for your job, or somebody who doesn't do Coil... And you're not doing Coil because there's a high chance you're not good enough (In this case, you means everyone in full soldiery gear, not you in particular.)

You are right, it doesn't. But somebody who does Coil probably has more of it than somebody who doesn't. You can present all manner of excuses for not doing Coil you like, you're not good at it or capable of beating it unless you actually do it.

This makes no sense, all soldiery gear is is alternate stats, the fact is they can still clear the same content as your high allagan geared people just slightly slower. gear does not equal skill. and tbh unless you are doing coil only being fully geared in high allagan does not make you kings of FFXIV, this is just typical elitism attitude with that comment.

Furthermore lol... Wearing ONLY vendor gear shows you grinded skilless content, even though you need to mix both for BiS, it's clear a person with 0 High Allagan gear at this point in the patch progression is not an amazing raider.

I agree with this to a certain extend. It definitely looks fishy when I see people in 110 gear, all soldiery. It has no guarentee this person did Coil or even EX primals which for now is our endgame. When someone has a few Coil pieces, by now everyone knows what drops where for every job, you know someone has at least some endgame experience.

Coil is not mainly group coordination lol...

It's by far mainly skill, one person can wipe the entire raid with a singular mistake.
