You're getting fish because you're doing quick ventures, which can bring back a whole slew of possible items, including fish. The normal Ventures have a very limited set of items for each one.Venture loot need serious reworking, imo. And it's not even a question of adding more items, rather removing a buttload of them. And seriously, stop the madness of DoW/DoM retainers bringing back one piece of fish. Like what the heck. Make the "junk" loot be crafted mats (lumbers, leathers, etc - things that are either unobtainable until a certain level in a certain class and/or are sold only in 60-99 bunches for stellar prices) and make it something like 5-10 pieces. Perhaps with occasional shards/crystals/clusters, dark/carbonized matters, different types of materia (not only elemental/attribute ones, which is all I seem to get). Not saying I want stockpile of the rarest stuff, but make them actually...meaningful, y'know? That way it'd feel less of a waste of time on the RNGods' altar for a minion or Gysahl Ring or whatnot otherwise unobtainable pieces.
Yes, thank you, I've been aware of all this. Doesn't make either of them any less pointless/useless/stupid; especially getting one low-level nq fish 9 out of every 10 quick venture (with the 10th being a piece of junk furniture that now sells for lower on the MB than to NPC vendors).
Retainers do answer the time honored question though.
"How do I mine for fish?" XD
