Because SE totally ruined two jobs by combining them into one, and most people who end up playing it don't care about playing a support role at all and just want to be archers?

My favorite is an incompetent healer who needs a ballad because they don't know how to manage their mp even though no one died.

Or watching a Blm just stand there for x number of seconds because they did their rotation wrong and ran out of mp.

Don't forget monks who lose their stacks for the stupidest reasons

Or summoners who can't DoT properly

Also tanks who can't tank.

I play whm and bard and i rarely sing. the thing is most bards want to dps as a archer or ranger type... ballad for mp sure, but from lack of healing mp since the dungeon doesnt need to be done 30 seconds sooner from your holy.. no excuses for requiem since it doesnt hurt bard dps but meh again dont really care about a win 30 seconds to a minute sooner than normal... coil2 and ex primals are the only place to complain about a job being played top notch... of course imo

Imo this is why job crystals shouldn't give you bonus stats, so that people can queue as archers an not be expected to sing, since they can't.

It would give an archer more combat versatility since they can use more cross-class moves. Kind of like how marauders are more desirable for frontlines and T8.

But.. MRD is a very special case because it can dps better than its job. ARC is just BRD with less utility in that case
