I think people on other servers wouldn't hate hunts so much if they learned to share. I wonder how SE feels about how this content has been turned on its head, made into something super cooperative instead of hyper competitive. Well, on our server, anyway. Judging by the salty comments from folks on other servers in this thread, I'd assume it's hyper competitive there. As intended?

I'm still confused as to why it's not phased content, where you can only find/challenge elite marks with an appropriate hunting license. I would have thought NMs in FFXI would have been enough evidence of what happens when you introduce highly desired open world content, but I guess not. Especially perplexing since Yoshida has gone on record as not wanting competitive content in PvE (direct competition, such as, you know, what the Hunts are - this was the reasoning behind not bringing back an NM system).

B's and As would have good as phased content, but the S ranks as they are, with more active triggers not just weather conditions. It's kinda fun trying to actively trigger certain S ranks with a large number of people.
