it takes like 4-5 hours of spritbonding ilvl 30 crafter gear (which you can buy at costa) to get the millions for 1 cotton
cant see any problem except blind ppl
You make 5 million gil in 4-5 hours? I see you're on Odin, what do the waterproof cotton go for there?
On Behemoth, there's 2 of them on the market at the moment, one for 4'999'999 gil, one for 5'000'000. Even if I COULD buy this on a whim, this would hardly be a solution for everyone on the server, what with there only being 2 of them.
4-5m on odin
1 set of ilvl 30 craftgear takes about 10 min to spiritbond in a small group, that makes 6x10x20k = up to 1.2 mil/h
4-5 hours of spiritbonding and you have the money for a cotton for sure
Thanks for the snarky "advice" but things are obviously priced much differently on your server than mine.
From my experience so far, ilvl 30 gear makes mostly lvl 1 materia and a little lvl 2. Lvl 1 craft/gather materia goes for 1k on my server and lvl 2 10k max depending on which type it is so.... no you couldn't make anywhere near that in 4-5 hours. Also it relies on a being in a group which a lot of people don't have if they're playing the odd hour here and there, it takes considerably longer to SB gear alone. So unfortunately this doesn't work for a lot of people.
This reminds me of the Fish Glue saga when 1.0 was released, anyone remember that? You could only make it from fish obtained from high level fishing and it was needed to make a level 7 Lance... which everyone wanted, a handful of people managed to get the fish after about a week into the release and was still unobtainable because of the price they sold it for was just stupid I remember it being sold for 100,000 gil in Bazars (I wish they would bring those back) doesn't sound like much but this was in the first week of release.
I wish they would stop this nonsense of making low level vanity gear so rare, all it does is encourage RMT which will in turn screw the economy.
they spend tier 2 materia with a 100% rate, sometimes tier 3From my experience so far, ilvl 30 gear makes mostly lvl 1 materia and a little lvl 2. 2 ppl are enough to sb efficient, on odin the II materia sell for 10,20,35k - lets say 20k on average
if craft II isnt worth enough on your server then take sth else, there are more then enough materia to sell
In the end its no big effort to make some millions

I'm tempted to not even bother with this since SE decided to make obtaining these things unnecessarily difficult to obtain, GJ devs for showing us shinies and then basically saying "HA HA YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT FOR A VERY LONG TIME"
Imo even attempting to obtain these items as it is now is just saying that we're okay with the developers making unwise design choices, so why bother?
its the best thing which could happen to fisher and implementing vanity stuff by this way is a great choice imo

on legacy servers, they're worth much... much less. I know because I SB lots of them.![]()
