The thing is Dark, this change is actually what people wanted... Repair process streamlined.ok change make everything in the game have a 2 day respawn rate and a .0001% drop rate. that's a drastic change, but do you think that's what people want? we can always make it from 1-50 in 5 mobs killed. i'm sure some people on these forums would love it and claim it will save the game, but the majority wouldn't want that either although it is a drastic change.
Please read the original thread Repairing Repairs, you will see enough comments explaining why the system is better now. We are doing the exact same thing we did before.
Did you even think for a SECOND, that they might turn all your so hardly crafted and now going to waste materials into the dark matter corresponding to that rank range? Like Cavnas Fents turning into Dark Matter for R 21-30...it does matter in the fact if they hadn't asked vague questions they would have gotten different answers and you know it. all this did was allow yoshi to do exactly like tanaka and do whatever he wanted without having to deal with the fallout because he can always say hey you wanted drastic.
what part was hard to understand about i don't have a problem with the change, but it should have allowed the option for either to allow the crafters now to use the materials they already had? it would have been no different because as they ran out of materials they would have moved to the new easier and more streamlined process.
some of you see any change and say since it does not affect me then it's fantastic and then get upset because someone points out a way it would negatively affect them.
Just as an example...they also announced that recipes will be redone(although they said 1.19 before, the repair post indicates there will be changes in 1.18 already) so what if your wasted materials get a use after the patch?
Just think...
I don't see this as making the game easier. What's difficult about obtaining a repair material? Nothing. It's just time-consuming, With annoying busy work. What's more, is each item had a differen't repair material?! If I wanted to repair my mages gear I needed 5 different types of material. The only class it WASNT ridiculous for was Gladiator.
It's really ridiculous if you are carrying out all of the repairs, If you carried every repair item in the game, You'd hardly have room to do anything at all.
So I'm all for the change.
I don't mind it. I'll be grateful for the inv space and not having people offer too low rewards for expensive repairs. Other than that I'm curious what will happen to fent and spetch.
Question is.. where do you get Dark Matter?
Can every class craft each tier or is it a rare kinda material only obatinned after killing random enemys? Like 1% drop rate.
If it cost more, people wouldn't use it, thus making the gil sink unused and moot.
By reducing the cost of NPC repairs, it'll get used more often and thus actually take some gil out of circulation for once. Smart move to me.
Also, I am indeed going to be one of those dark matter miners. *evil grin*
Just another "I-don't-like-your-new-idea" post.
Heck... I don't understand why people take it seriously.
I read an op opinion and still confuse...
He said that he got a lot of problem to holding material for repair, also problem finding it.
But in the end, he just come to the conclusion that he don't like the new dark matter system.
( Even this system make repairing lot more easier to everyone )
/sigh
^ Read the announcement on the lodestone, unless that the a joke. In that case wow, just wow.
F*** yeah, green apples!
