    If you really hate this kind of progression than FF14 is the wrong game for you. This game has a vertical progression as its core and that won't change.

    I kind of agree with OP. I think we need an additional 3 months to catch-up. In reality - there has been a lot for the average gamer.

    My idea: Create a bunch of challenges (some grinds and some coil / battle related) and completing those challenges rewards you with additional attribute points. It wouldn't be as big of a jump as raising the item level - but it would provide plenty incentive to people who want to max out. Release new weapons / equipment - but maybe have them provide unique stats / abilities instead (horizontal).

    6 months every 20 Levels is too quick imo.

    i don't mind it going up but i hope they find a way to slow it down after the expansion.

    You're right. It should only go up 10, but the stat differences should remain the same.

    It's pretty common with blatant WoW clones, it's part of the game's design philosophy sadly. At least the last increase will be in 2.4 until the expansion, although the level cap increase will have the same effect and it's pretty obvious new item levels will also be introduced, and thus the cycle continues until they'll have to do an item and stats crunch in 5 years or less that could have been prevented since launch.

    Think about this. Say your a tank. And your first up on loot in your SCoB static. You could if lucky get you head, feet, legs, earring or neck, gloves, belt, body or ring and a HA weapon all in a single run of second coil. You would have almost every I110 slot done. And its like this for all jobs. Sure that probably won't happen for everyone, but on my alt I got like 4 pieces of HA in 2 weeks of runs. I think 6 months is plenty of time for an increase.

    Thanks for the info!

    I really like Yoshi P said in this, and when you think about that way, it does make sense. To do coil three, you could have to make sure you have some of the higher gear from coil 2.

    As has been stated by several people in the thread already, to those who are already as far as they can go end game wise, these updates don't feel as quick to those who are still playing catch up, which I totally understand, and that does make me think about things from a different point of view.

    This is going to sound a bit dumb, and I apologies in advance. I thought with SCoB, you could only loot one per of gear per run. I am guessing my understanding is incorrect and you can loot one piece of gear per turn?

    Every turn drops 2 pieces of gear and you can get both.
