Seriously SE ? (dual rider chocobo)

Well, ok I really hate to rant, but that is going a bit too far imo.

So we heard a while back about mounts that could be ridden by 2 people (basically, an other player could mount on your chocobo). It was coming along marriage informations, and we were happy to get it with the marriage feature as, per example, a vanity mount reserved for couples.

And yet.... found this.

Apparently, SE decided that dual-mounter chocobos would be better in a referral program. Why ?

Referral programs used to give fair advantages to the new guys (1st month reward does nice on that) and few advantages for the veteran to help newbs (1st month again, perfect score). Why would you put a vanity mount there, and specially a mount that had been expected as a marriage feature for obvious reasons ?

If it happened that the mount was only for referral and dual-mounter mounts wouldn't make an appearance at all in the marriage feature (couples, they WANT to be together, right ?), it would be utterly disappointing and would onl encourage people to pay the 3 month on a mock account just to get the feature....

Well, let's not jump to conclusions, that may just be one implementation. Perhaps this "draught chocobo" will be for recruiters (it makes sense, it lets you help a new adventurer get around to places much more easily, plus who wouldn't wanna ride tandem on a chocobo with their friends?) and there'll be another special chocobo of a different type specifically for couples to ride on? Might even make the seating a bit more, er, "cozy" for the latter; the draught one looks like it basically has two saddles.

Maybe that one is specifically for the friend you recruited and there will be a separate one for the person you married?

Personally I just want a dual mounted Chocobo to use with anyone. Having it tied to one other specific person ( imo ) is dumb, unless as Ariele mentioned, there's gonna be different versions.

They did already show us a design (even if it was just concept art) for the wedding Chocobo, and I doubt they'd scrap the idea after showing it to everyone.

Where does it say you can only dual ride the draught chocobo with your recruited friend? Because I see this at the bottom...

* To board the passenger seat, select a party member currently riding a draught chocobo, then select the Ride Pillion subcommand.

That you have to recruit a friend, or recruit an alt and pay for 90 days (if that counts), is another issue however.

Seriously, it's too early to jump to any conclusion. We barely have any info besides recruit a friend being an option to get the mount. That doesn't mean there aren't any other methods to get it, such as the marriage system.

Right now what is happening is this.

Player --> Reads something lacking a lot of information --> Makes an assumption and believes it to be real himself (despite the fact that there are dozens of other possibilities) --> Feels angry about his own assumption --> Starts the blame game --> Everyone takes his assumption as fact.

Just wait for there to be more info. I can think of a lot of different ways they could implement the dual-chocobo mount in addition to the recruit a friend.

Let's not jump to conclusions and treat the forums like a kangaroo court. Wait for the facts to be revealed. Once it's revealed, complain all you want if it's bad. Mind you, I'll join you in complaining if it's bad. Right now, all we can do is wait for the official reveal.
