I'm sorry to point this out to you, but Dynasty Warriors 7 is not an MMO.

But Dynasty Warriors Online is an they do have a good mount system. Not that I like many of their mounts though. I'm fine with a chocobo.

That's no mount system for a MMO game, as I was implying. You'l note that Dynasty Warriors Online's actual gameplay is little more than lobby rooms for games of Dynasty Warriors.

But this is neither here nor there. Chocobo rentals have been announced for 1.19. any other information is speculation and doomsaying. And frankly If you don't have faith in SE to pull off any wondrous game from FFXIV, than why are you honestly still here?

I see what you're saying. A lot of people think those F2P have a "mount system". I played the game for a little bit to enjoy the kill count but you can't build a community on lobby based instances for sure.

Perhaps there's some lore tie-in with Ishgard that's holding up the real chocobo system. Who knows.

In the meantime, rental is fine. However, if in the future, we don't have summonable Chocobos, it will definitely be a reminder of how archaic SE still is. Set in their ways.

It's hard being the voice of reason on a forum with so many old-souls who don't know any better and can't imagine anything better than what they've been fed by SE through FFXI, but there really is a problem with SE if they reproduce the same mount-system they had in FFXI.

for example, in FFXI, even the mounts you owned could only be summoned on a cooldown and for a limited time. It's like, why? SE thinks they understand the art of seduction but they don't come across as mysterious by withholding so much, they just come across as stingy and limiting.

This is all on the proviso that they do indeed reproduce the same mount system from FFXI which im sure they wont. (so no offence SE if you've changed).
