Hunt strategy for solo players?

I got reset plenty of times while soloing and it always left me with little to no contribution reward...

There's a reason people are getting upset over it, you know. And it's not because you suddenly have an extra 10 seconds now to hit it and gather even more points...

It's "Hey, good to see you working on those points, why dont you go ahead and start over from 0 while the monster now dies 40 times as quickly! Good luck!"

Meh, I'll just continue to ignore Hunts completely and simply wait for SE to implement the Sands of Time drop in Syrcus Tower, as they said that they were going to do at some point soonish.

Looks like you have a problem with how the system works in which case you can ask SE to tweak how resetting works. SE cannot punish a player because he plays by the gameplay rules SE themselves have created.

People are doing Hunts as a group though. Some are just preferring to treat it as intended. B ranks for Light Parties, A ranks for Full Parties and S ranks is when the zerg makes sense (although three Full Parties is most likely enough).

As a solo player, really... Just accept that you're not going to be able to get every mark and that there will be times you won't get full credit. Be reasonable in what you expect to achieve and you'll be surprised how satisfying it can be...

I was in north than while people were trying to pop the S rank and a fresh lvl 48 guy finished the fate early.. this lead to the zerg swearing at him in chat and calling his name out when the dude was just trying to get some exp.

It boils down to bullying and it's just gross to see.

Have to agree, this is absolutely stupid game design decision to implement a system where people need to intentionally *fail* something to get to a desireable result (in this case, S pop). As you pointed out, there is no way a new player would know about this and all this just leads to a very bad impression of the perceived toxicity of the in-game community. I wish the devs would think about some of the rather obvious potential impacts of these decisions a bit more before implementation.

And they have... My friends account got a 72hr suspension and the only thing he could think of was he was resetting mobs for the horde and someone GMed him.

His email just stated a bunch of copy paste from ToS related to harassment.
