Why would you want to get rid of it? It's literally the cutest thing SE has introduced, ever. I love seeing all the little sprouts running around getting leveled up and I will often stop and see if they have any questions or need any help.

There are a ton in Malboro. I was doing my weekly grind of mining Earth Shards in Cedarwood mines when some one shouts out, a little help here. I turn around he is lying there dead. So I said to him stand by. I switch to my PLD and raised him. He said thanks. I switched back to MIN and kept going. About 15 seconds goes by and I get another, could you raise me again. So I said sure stand by. I switch back to PLD and get to him but I had to wait for the Raise to charge so I was just standing there waiting, though he must not wanted to wait and he respawned.

Sent him a tell, saying I was going to raise you just takes a minute after switching classes to charge. He replied, thats ok, I'm sorry I'm a noob at this. I just said to him. No worries, we were all noobs (though I'm still kind of a noob) once. He returned to the mines where I was blew me a kiss and ran off.

Simply go to the Social window and select the Party tab, right click your name and select "Edit Search Info" in the drop down menu select your status e.g. "Online" "New Adventurer" "Busy" etc. Voila, stupid green noob leaves gone.

I know it's been said, 40 hours, but I feel like I've passed that checkpoint. I've got BLM at 50, which took me forever, and BOT at 20, which also took a good chunk of time, and I've also got a couple other classes in the works, not to mention I RP quite a lot.

Is there some way to check how many hours I have, so I know?

It used to be 40 hours, but they changed it. Now, if you haven't gone to Ishgard, then you'll keep the "New Player" status (or at least the ability to set it) indefinitely, no matter how long you've played. It can also continue after reaching Ishgard if you have under I believe the new value was 168 hours.

In other words, it's now pretty much meaningless. I've been playing since ARR launch, have 2 jobs and all 11 DoH/DoL classes to 50, and I could still set my status to "New Adventurer" if I wanted to, just because I'm not using the expansion yet.

Is there some way to check how many hours I have, so I know?

I've got 278 hours according to steam and through the ARR quests, I've still got this stupid leaf. I know people have suggested work arounds, but a temporary solution isn't a solution. What is the benchmark to get it to go away?

If you absolutely just want it gone, just type in:

/nastatus off

(it will also remove you from the Novice Network if you're using that though!)
