Hunt strategy for solo players?

Resets are caused by someone getting enough enmity with the mark that it will chase them and then running away, taking the mark too far away from where it started. When the mark leashes back to its starting area after going too far, it resets to full HP and all previous combat credit to players is lost. To prevent it, just make sure that you have top emnity so that no one can take its attention away.

I'd have to disagree with all of the people saying you won't get full rewards if you're solo and there's a bunch of full parties fighting a mark. I've done that multiple times without any difficulty. If you're going to try to help, don't spread false information.

Perhaps you've hit the secret but I've seen full parties not even get full credit. I doubt you get full credit often aganist a real hunt train, unless your server is just dead (or you play off times).

From what I've seen on Balmung you either join the train or get 1-3 seals. Minus off times the train is pretty impressive. False information perhaps on special occasion but I think it is quite accurate on general occasion. I've seen this sentiment repeated across many different servers.

Well that's the nice thing about the truth, it doesn't matter if you doubt it or not. My biggest concern is how bad or slow people have to be to not get full credit while in a full party. That's what you should be doubting.

Not to derail much further but hunts generally die in seconds on Balmung. That gives you time for one skill. If you can get full credit in one skill then please teach me your ways. (S rank is usually 2-4 if you get there at or near 100% health, 2-4 will not assure full credit in my experience). So, seriously if you can do that in 2-4 hits, I want to know -your- strategy cause I will use it.

Thus far I party, and I've met a lot of nice people- but sometimes I'm just in the area and want to mozy on my way by without shouting.

i have gotten full credit for solo hunts, but i found and started and got em down to below 50% before people showed. if a party shows up before that.... youll get 1-2 seals.
i gave up on hunts altogether shortly after i realized this.

I have solo killed B mark and got 1 seal. Since then I join hunt parties on PF and sometimes wonder why I was such an idiot before trying to solo.

On B-ranks yes, you can get full credit solo. This is probably the scenario people who are saying they can get full credit solo are referring too - B-ranks only. Anything above that, highly unlikely - not sure if it's even possible at all on a S-rank solo when there's a hundred other people there.

My advice: when you put up a shout, watch the chat for people shouting for invites, and send them an invite yourself. I do this a lot if I'm not already in a dedicated hunting party and I either stumble on a mark or are in-zone when a shout goes up.
