Well... the best is, that this isnt a fix, its just a cheap workaround because they could not fix the issue with the RNG they just made shure it doesnt happen twice in a row! Having a true RNG it is possible to happen twice in a row, but the default one SE seems to use is not a "true" RNG...

Here a simple example of the difference (visual):

Someone didn't read the dev post about random numbers I believe...

How do you figure that they're not using a real PRNG anyway? Do you want same elite mark weekly twice or more in a row? It happened already and they added code to make sure it's not the same two weeks in a row...

Do you think 3 weekly elite marks is enough to draw conclusions about the nature of the RNG used?

If you want to argue random numbers, go to that thread...

Regardless of what kind of RNG you use, you CAN get 3 fails in a row at 99%, and 3 HQ's in a row at 1%.

That you have to explain, either it is a TRNG or it is a PRNG, there is nothing in between!
While it is true, that you can create a TRNG when using a PRNG as basis code, but the output then is a TRNG number.

Edit: They are using the same RNG for everything ingame!
Crafts 98% - 3 fails in a row
Dungeons - the same drops in a row
Getting the same leves again and again...
