Ew...I'm female and that just makes me cringe.I'll agree for us ladies looking sexier, if we're in turn treated with a little fanservice.
More bulge for men! Down with the castrate look! Take an example from Xenosaga I's chaos: http://images.wikia.com/xenosaga/ima...05/Xeno646.jpg

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

True, Tactics characters werent TOO sexy, but at least there were clear differences in male and female wear, which was better for both male and female.
I don't think these ladies from this ffxiv image look "un-sexy" but I'd personally love a more elegant appeal from the clothing. I think Final Fantasy Tactics had great art concept for female and male attire that wasn't too over the top, but had a little sex appeal for both genders.
And maybe even a bit more characterized like some of the main characters:
But I definitely like the beginning feel of the gear now. I know a lot of people are looking towards that black mage armor that Yoshida sort of spoiled, but to be honest, I think it looks a bit over the top. Don't get me wrong, I love black mages and characterization from gear, but I find it hard to imagine people running around in Eorzea wearing that set. It feels a bit...false and unfitting for the world we know it as now. We've never seen any other characters in this game wearing such outlandish gear. Even the Garleans look relatively believable.

Personally I think city-state attire should vary, considering Ul'dah and LL and Gridania are different parts of the world there should be more variety and certain trend styles that fit each part of the world. Uldah should have desert attire ranging from the middle east style of dress to other desert type gear (Mad Max anyone. Talking about armor obviously but adding town gear would be nice too). LL would be Naval attire/ swashbuckling gear and Gridania well woods/forest gear. I think by incorporating the design based on region and culture of those areas would probably please everyone and add more options because it does kind of suck running around looking like everyone else all the time. Some diversity would be nice once in awhile.

I support this 100%!
