Anyone else find it awesome that we can switch companies? A lot of my LS wants to join the Adders, but I'm an Ul'dahn though and through. I don't wanna miss out on any of their adventures because of that.

I am thinking about making 2 other Characters 1 for each Grand Company

'Grand Companies' tab, or the 'Currency' tab?Adventurers may check the amount of seals in their possession by selecting Attributes in the main menu, and then clicking the Grand Companies tab.
I guess it's best to assume this content will be like quests and leves until the patch is released. Honestly at this point in the game I was hoping for some coherent storylines with a beginning and an ending and proper cutscenes like in most XI quests.
I guess the release pace of the patches is so slow it's safer for SE to dish out grinding material than unique quest-lines.
Honestly I'm just trying to psyche out myself from expecting too much from this patch, back to repeating "it's mostly about AA".
Hm. Might be time to reinstall.

I'm the other way around I want to be an Adder but my shell voted Ul'dah. :O *flails*
This is good news though, for now anyway I wonder when they'll ask us to choose?
Probably when the the Mission that makes you the Next rank up from Recruit.. it will probably warn you that completeing this quest will bind you to this Company

So, as far as I can tell from reading the above, we're bound to only one Grand Company after we pass beyond the rank of recruit. Am I wrong? Will we not be able to experience all Grand Company storylines? To enlist with a Grand Company, first make your way to its headquarters, which can be accessed from the host city-state's market wards entrance. Once inside, speak with the recruitment officer and you will be asked to undertake a mission,* the completion of which will earn you induction into the organization as a recruit.
* Available only to adventurers rank 22 or above.
As recruits are not yet bound to an organization, adventurers are encouraged to use this opportunity to discover firsthand with which company's ethos they most closely identify.

Ahh okay yes that's a very good assumption guys. If it's anything like XI missions you can defect if you want but you need to start ALL over with the faction you are going to. I'm comparing City missions with these Grand companies....
