    Do you think we will ever see a DPS Conjurer Job? (GEO?)

    I'm really hoping that at some point in the future we will see Geomancer as a DPS job stemming off from Conjurer focused on using CNJ's offensive spells (Stone, Aero) and Cleric Stance. As it stands a lot of WHM's heals actually come from CNJ, so the devs would have to make sure such a class couldn't heal just as well as a WHM (maybe increase the damage buff and healing penalty of Cleric Stance?). It would also need another way to effectively restore mana, since I doubt Shroud of Saints would work effectively enough on its own to sustain a DPS class over long fights.

    Nonetheless I think as far as keeping within CNJ's lore GEO would be right on track. THM would fit in nicely as its subjob, and access to the cross-class ARC buffs as well. We'd most likely see Quake and Tornado as Job abilities.

    Anyone else agree?

    I could see geomancer coming out of conjurer seeing as they're tree huggers and need to be in harmony with nature .

    If content can be found in any other FF game, you can be sure it'll eventually be fanserviced into this one at some point.

    Given that Conjurer is ridiculously ingrained into the healing role, it's very unlikely.

    Look at their skills;

    Cure, Aero, Cleric Stance, Protect, Medica, Esuna, Cura, Stoneskin, Curaga, and Medicara. That's 10 healer based skills, with 3 of them being used by Paladin which only 1 should have been cross classable, but whatever.

    Then we have their traits;

    Proshell, Freecure, Graniteskin, Overcure, Maim and Mend I*, Maim and Mend II*. That's 4 traits that enhance healer and Paladin usable skills beyond what any DPS should be allowed to have.

    *The "maim" part of these skills are fine, the "mend" would make a DPS too strong for healing.

    Common arguments are, "just leave those and lower the healing power on them". Then you run into the issue of a DPS that could heal if there was enough of them. What's to say that 2 healers, 3 GEO, 2 tanks, and 1 Bard, won't become the best setup? I don't believe the way CNJ is now that it is possible to make it into a DPS and there are no convincing arguments anywhere on these forums to say otherwise. It'd just be better to create a new class and branch GEO from that.

    They said in the article they might not release anymore jobs for each lass as they dislike how summoner and scholar turned out. However eventually is a long time, but I will bet my money that you want see a geomancer in your FF14 lifetime.

    summoners "main and mend" trait increases healing, doesnt mean its a good healer though is it?
    a dps class that has a little more healing potential than other dps means it could help out in a pinch, im just not sure how it would work while having access to cleric stance.

    I so wish that they wouldn'tdo anymore 2 job 1 class, cause it just doesn't work so well, especially if you want to play both of them to the max, you'll lack stat points o other unless you farm alot of the stat reset items, which are 10k each, which isn't really affordable every day

    Another solution might be to disable certain class abilities if you have the Soul Crystal equipped (as it stands now, SCHs are favored over WHMs in Light Parties because they can actually abuse most of SMN's AoE potential while their fairy does the healing).

    Personally, I actually like having to only level one class, I've decided that it's just too much trouble to level more than 2 classes tops on one character, becuase there's barely enough quests in the game as it is to get one Job to 50, and I'm not a big fan of grinding out Levequests and FATES. I just split my ACN stat boosts 15/15 as I've found that it doesn't make a huge amount of difference anyway, and if anyone has a problem with that, I'll just go heal for people who aren't arrogant elitists.

    Problem is that I'm just not that into pets or DoTs. Give me big burst damage any day over pet damage/DoTs.

    15/15 may not make a huge difference, but it makes a noticeable enough difference. Think about it. Extreme ramuh requires item level 90 gear I think. The difference between one gear piece from iLvl70 and iLvl90 is like 3 of a stat. There are 12 gear slots or so, thats 36 points, so you are pretty much sacrificing 15 item levels which makes you far less useful when it comes to testing your gears limits to doing a dungeon.

    Well in that case, they should just make the bonuses passive based on Class/Job and be done with it. Blizzard did that in WoW to great effect...
