Playing Everquest from 2001-2004 and WoW from 2004-2009, and Everquest 2 from 2009 to 2011 (with some play in 2008 as well). Do I feel like I have too much? Nope... In fact when FFXIV first came out, my group had it all done prior to 2.1 and actually decided to stop playing because we had nothing to do. Personally I think we should have had all this stuff at launch. But its here now and better late than never. We've since come back with 2.3 and have plenty to keep us busy till 2.4 (hopefully).

I definitely feel that way, about having too much to do at the moment. It's a good feeling though. I have to level up some crafts to get my cross class abilities. I finally finished my atmas, so i have books i have to do. I have primals to unlock, I still have beast men dailies to do… I haven't even TOUCHED pvp or hunts yet, but i want to, I have tomes to farm still…

I find myself running in circles around my house everyday due to extreme boredom because 90% if the games content has been negated to point it is a pure time sink.

Well, if you really feel that way about everything there is to do in the game...maybe you should leave it for a different game? You might actually be happier that way, since you'll definitely have new stuff to do.

More options are actually better to be honest, you don't have to do them all, but either way, you have something to do. At least here there are tons of variety, more ways on how you want to spend your play time. You are playing a video game, which itself is a TIMESINK, as for grinding, it is the same everywhere.... Borderlands 2 is a shooter grind, so are all the Call of Duty games, or any other RPGs (western or japanese games) you grind for points to level up or perks to raise your stats slightly, or more shiny new weapons, every single games are time sink and grind in one way or another. If you want surprise and variety, go outside and play the game of REAL LIFE, where a costly mistake will send you to your early grave and there is no reset once it's GAME OVER.

Hm, the only exciting thing I want to do is SCoB every week with my static. I'd have a lot more to do if I cared about PvP or NM/spreadsheet grinding, but that's my problem and not the games'.

Even with SCoB once a week, there's a lot I do enjoy doing in game such as trying to fill out my Fishing Log, crafting, gathering, collecting vanity gear, ST, and trying to make a better jump puzzle in my personal room. It's great that there's a lot of side things to do even if they are "timesinks," because frankly, every game that doesn't rely on player-generated content is like that.

I find myself with little to do(That I actually want to do). Do dailies, continue working towards a pointless weapon, do Circus Tower/Cap Soldiery for the week. Proceed to fall asleep slowly playing.

Personally, it's something that I love about this game. I like that if I want to group up, it's fairly easy and quick to do. If I want to solo, even at end-game there's PLENTY of things to do which actually enhances your character.

I love that I can be in the mood for anything and have it readily available, while feeling like I'm not absolutely forced to log in every day and complete the dailies or grind one dungeon 800 times. I really, really enjoy the options.

The clear separation in opinion here makes it clear that there is 'plenty' of stuff to do... people just don't care about any of it. Which isn't SE's problem, as long are there are enough people that 'do' care, which there seem to be at the moment.

If nothing on that OP's list appeals to you at all, or even if only Raiding does, you're probably in the wrong game. I foresee more and more fluff content, time sinks, and basically alternate ways to play that have nothing to do with getting epic gear coming our way. Golden Saucer for example ^_^ (which I can't wait for).

I've got so much to do, I have not had the time to do 2.3 patch questlines yet...
