One-piece Swimsuits

When I got my 2month subscription award bikini, I just picked up the one simple-looking halter top for cheap off the market board and dyed it to match, and I just use it as a cute little tankini instead. Kinda creates a little bit of a variation in swimsuit styles. :P

I love the idea of one-pieces with different designs though.

That WOULD work... except the Hempen set varies by race. The Elezen hempen top is pretty gross - form-fitting with a cleavage window. The bottoms are worse (on their own, they're actually pretty nice when paired with a long top). I really wish I could wear the Miqo'te or Midlander Hyur hempen top styles, but for whatever reason they decided to make us all different.

As for the game appealing to men - maybe. I don't like to automatically jump to that conclusion. The male swimsuits are pretty ridiculous (and all my male friends agree). They just want simple swim trunks.

Because coil gear is outdated every 6 months, but pure vanity gear lasts a lifetime (or at least until the servers are shut down for good in the distant future).

Yech~ I think I saw one of those not too long ago, actually. And you're right, it makes no sense. It even looks like a plain halter top in the icon.

I drew some quick sketches of bathing suit examples/ideas. The one on the left is nice and classic, clean, elegant - simple. A design doesn't have to be crazy with ruffles and details to be beautiful. The top one is more cute - it would be ADORABLE on a Lalafel! And finally the bottom, something sporty. I thought of Speedo, and Cactuar are traditionally very fast, so a simple Cactuar logo fits right in. A Chocobo could also work.

If they were REALLY clever, they could even feasibly make these top and bottom items. Then we mix and match them with other outfits.
