They really do need to add a recruitment section to the official forums to accommodate this.

Why even bring up your gender in the first place?

Well personally I live in reality. And realize that women are still a minority in MMOs (moreso in serious raiding) so before she spends money moving servers.. It's a safe bet for her to throw out the "yes I have boobs.. No they do not mean I can't dodge twisters like some of the idiots around here"

That wasn't even much my aim, from my experiences some people seem to have this idea that girls want to be treated differently than the guys in the raid because boobs. I really don't like that much.

Got ya. Both seem to be beliefs in modern MMOs though. EQ we had a decent (prolly 15-20% of any given guild made up of women) so was different. Hell a couple I knew were #1 serverwide for their class. Same went for XI. But soon as MMOs went mainstream that whole thing went sideways fast.

I really do like the FF community for how it treats the female population. I really don't come across many people with these old mentalities but yeah, the whole point as we agree is to ward off those who would harbor these archaic views. But it's not really a major thing, hasn't happened much to me in XIV anyway.
