I'm at work as well, but I'll post my crossbar as well so you can see if it helps. The disclaimer to that is that I use a keyboard as well and have additional abilities hot keyed to my numpad. I put the abilities that are more situational on the numpad, that allows me to only need to use the first page of my controller crossbar during battle, so, in my opinion, it makes for having to occasionally take my right hand off the controller.

One piece of advice is that you will need Provoke from the GLD (lvl 22) to properly tank some of the late game instances (Garuda EX and one of the Binding Coils come to mind).

Hi Kmt! I just posted this on another thread, so I copied it here for you. Feel free to take what you'd like from it, or ignore it completely.
Like anubis1820 said, the important thing is that you feel comfortable with your setup. If it doesn't feel right... then you'll make mistakes when things get heated. Try a few different things, figure out what works best for you, and then build on that.

Oh, and personally I don't like macros, so I don't use any. But I do think you should test them out and see if you like them... they do have certain advantages here and there.

Anyway, here's what I have to say about the PS4 Cross-Bar setup for Warrior:

Sorry, I'm unable to get a screenshot up (just... life.. )
But, I can write it out for you. This is from memory, though... so I'm not sure if I've got everything right, but it's definitely enough to show you the gist of what I'm trying to describe in having the R2 side of Set 1 and Set 2 the exact same:

    Set 1 - When holding L2
    Up - Steel Cyclone
    Left - Unchained
    Right - Inner Beast
    Down - Overpower

    Triangle - Provoke
    Square - Infuriate
    Circle - Beserk
    X - Tomahawk

    Set 1 - When holding R2
    Up - Storm's Eye
    Left - Mercy Stroke
    Right - Storm's Path
    Down - Brutal Swing

    Triangle - Butcher's Block
    Square - Maim
    Circle - Skull Sunder
    X - Heavy Swing

    Set 2 - When holding L2
    Up - Thrill of Battle
    Left - Bloodbath
    Right - Foresight
    Down - Vengeance

    Triangle - Defiance
    Square - Convalescence
    Circle - Holmgang
    X - Fracture

    Set 2 - When holding R2
    Up - Storm's Eye
    Left - Mercy Stroke
    Right - Storm's Path
    Down - Brutal Swing

    Triangle - Butcher's Block
    Square - Maim
    Circle - Skull Sunder
    X - Heavy Swing

When you press R1, it switches your whole set of skills.
So, I normally start on Set 1, and Tomahawk into a pack, maybe an Overpower or two, and then start my combos on the Hold-Down-R2 side of things.
Once into my combos, I can switch over to Set 2 and fire off a mitigation cool-down during the Global Cool Down (GCD) of the combos and continue the combos right there (no need to switch back to Set 1... might not have enough time to do so before the GCD is done and waiting on me for my next attack).

Here's an example of a combo button press sequence:

    On Set 1
    *Hold L2, Press X = Tomahawk
    *Hold R2, Press X = Heavy Swing
*Press R1 to switch to Set 2..
    On Set 2
*Hold L2, Press Down = Vengeance
*Hold R2, Press Circle = Skull Sunder
*Press R1 to switch back to Set 1.. (may need to press this twice if you have a 3rd set for other things...)
    On Set 1
*Hold L2, Press Circle = Beserk
    *Hold R2, Press Triangle = Butcher's Block
    ...

The GCD is long enough to easily swap sets once and fire off a non-GCD ability and get back into your combo before the GCD is over so you don't waste any time at all.

Notice how I swapped between Set 1 and Set 2 mid-Butcher's-Block-combo to fire off different cool-downs.
Another thing... I like to position my abilities in order. Notice my Butcher's Block combo "works up" the game-pad (X -> Circle -> Triangle). And my other combo's "work up" the other side (X -> Square -> Right or Up)
I also have Tomahawk on L2-X because I have Heavy Swing on R2-X and that way they're kind of on the same button (X).

I'm also considering swapping the position of Mercy Stroke (currently doubled on Set 1 and Set 2) with Inner Beast (currently only on Set 1). If I do that... I'll have notification when on Set 2 that my Wrath stacks have built up again and are ready to be used. I'll likely make this change soon, it seems helpful anyway.

I still have to get my Monk/Pugilist into a few levels so I can add those cross-class skills as well.
When I do this, I'll probably get into the extra cross-bar: Holding L2 and then R2 so that you're holding both will bring up another set... as well as Holding R2 and then L2 to hold both. I might even put all the same skills on those two cross-bars (the Holding-L2-and-then-R2 set as well as the Holding-R2-and-then-L2 set) so that it doesn't matter if I hit L2 or R2 first... all I have to do is hold them both in either order to access the same skills on the extra cross-bar.

I'm sure there's lots more to do to help out a game-pad setup. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please feel free to comment so we can all judge and learn for ourselves

    Have fun!

No problem, have fun with it!
Remember that it's your cross bar now... make sure it works for you, tweak it here and there and make it fit your play-style.

I see you got your Paladin up to level 22 for Provoke, good move!

One day, my crafting will be as powerful as yours!
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...
