Let's talk Chocobos!

With the Chocobos having been announced as being planned for as soon as patch 1.19, there's many things regarding them I am curious about:

Will we have them available only as a rental initially? With the chocobo stands in each city, I feel this option is to be expected but will this be the only way to ride a chocobo initially?

Will we have the ability to acquire personal chocobos from the get-go? Will we be able to raise our own, breed different colors, and accessorize them? Will they have some sort of development themselves?.. or will we essentially begin with a bare-bone, basic chocobo model for everyone?

I'm sure there's much planned for mounts in general down the road and by no means do I wish to sound like I 'want everything now!' Just curious myself, and even more curious what everyone else's thoughts are as far as chocobos in FFXIV!

Edit: Seriously though, I imagine the 1.19 implementation will just be something to hold us over until personal chocobos/mounts. I'd love to raise my own and all, makes it more personal. Rentals would be fine for now though.

Yea I honestly just wan them in the game as soon as possible as well - even if only as rental. I'm hoping for lots of variety, customization, and development for mounts in the future though!
