    It may not be smart, but that is the intention of it. If you just get a certain item level out of it, what's the point of item level at all? Just remove it then. But like I said the point is to relfect to a certain extent the players skill level. And Rydia yes that is a good point, but a true item level to content cleared is still the best assessment. Your way does work pretty well though.

    How about they make it so that if you check off the "Only experienced players" box, it locks out people that have yet to complete that objective.

    What about people who have seen all phases but for one reason or another their team couldn't win the last 20%? I've had that happen to me, I move to a new team and won it easy. I don't think there will ever be a good option to get only skilled, experienced people but have to make due with what we have.

    Very true. It's impossible to please everyone lol before this, everyone was crying for easier ways to obtain myth. Now look Lol. It doesn't matter that the myth is accompanied by seals, you got what you asked for. Frontlines is great for myth because it's so fun it doesn't feel like it's being forced, like brayflox.

    In response to the checking a box this is exactly right. I knew the whole Ramuh EX fight, but couldnt find a group that understood it. Finally found a group who knew what they were doing and we farmed it for awhile. I just really think that if they keep item level associated with what content you are doing, it would solve a lot of problems. People would want to actually try to step up a bit in my opinion and would hopefully improve DF and PF groups.

    Like I said, it doesn't bother me that others have gear, its that just having it doesn't make them able to perform to a certain standard that in theory item level should hold you to. Therefore creating those parties that break up quick because 2 or 3 people joined with no clue.

    Anyone noticed a lot of the people posting that the rewards of hunts need a nerf/cap ... are people who have obviously finished gearing up their i110 gear by spamming said hunts?

    Oh, don't misunderstand me. I'm taking advantage of it. Grasp a bull by the horns and all that. But i've noticed a lot of people who are now pretty much fully 110 geared, are the main advocates of nerfing it. Seems a little like a "i've got it, now change it so others can't" mentality.

    Most of bard's left side solidery is trash compared to the high allagan counterparts. Upgrading anything but the belt and top with sands is just a trashy 110 instead of a good 110.

    In a weird way, hunts aren't that drastically different from regular raid content in that if it weren't for voice chat, it'd be a complete disaster and extremely challenging to ever get anything.
    Coil is a challenge up until the point that everybody in the group has learned it. They know how to handle everything and are good at doing so. It can take weeks to reach that point. Just because something is easy after you've mastered it doesn't make it not challenging. You can't simply ignore the challenge you had learning the encounter.
