I used it with Bind alot on raptors last night, as I was testing bind, having used it very little. I have 176 piety, and good mag acc, and I had bind only stick once out of every 5-7 times. Tossed up Dark seal II and I was lucky to get it to stick, once out of 5 times. Am I missing something ?

Yes. Similar to CON's repose, you can only bind monsters that are not moving. If the spell pops while its moving its automatically resisted.
