    1. NEVER DO HUNTS BY YOURSELF. You can't complain about getting a few seals when you're trying to get full credit by yourself. Always, always, always be in a full party of people also attacking the enemy. With an A rank, I can be there the entire time, attacking it with everything I have for over a minute, but if I'm by myself and not in a party, i ain't getting full credit. I'll get half credit at best. If you're in a full party then getting full credit is a piece of cake. A few hits is all it takes, provided everybody else in the party managed to do the same.

    2. Learn to accept that you can't get to every hunt. It just isn't possible. Some just spawn too far away from an aetheryte. You can try but you should go into it with low expectations. Every few you managed to get does quickly add up and sands/oil are pretty cheap. It doesn't take long to get them.

    3. Be a part of a many active Hunter linkshells as you can. This makes easier to form a group and lets you know nearly all hunts that spawn and where.

It's easy to get ~100 seals in a few hours in periods where the A ranks are spawning back-to-back.

You are literally the mentality that has ruined the hunts you realize that? Everything you described is exactly what is wrong with hunts at the moment. People feel too damn entitled to everything. Hunts were meant as an individual experience at the base level and a FC at best when it came to harder kills.

They should do away with the sands and oil of time rewards completely. That is something that should only be given in coil or Syrcus tower and up.

Any B mark enemy should be locked to the the 1st person to hit it. As it should have been.

Any A mark should be locked to the 1st 4 people to hit it.
Any S mark should have their health boosted to Odin levels and have just serious mechanics to deal with. ( S ranks should be the only thing people call out for.

    A hunt solution

Personally I have a solution that may benefit everyone; With my current understanding of how code is written for games/programs, if the lines of code were rewritten on the timeworn maps to integrate a hunt mark as the map challenge, instead of just a random level 50 monster, not only would the games new patch lines of code be compressed, and therefore less bugs to worry about, but it would also increase the fairness of those of us who are getting "locked out" of hunts because of players that are greedy, and impatient. Below is my thoughts on how this could work:
Timeworn Peisteskin map (8 man): S rank hunt-40 allied seals reward, plus chest contents
Timeworn Boarskin map : A rank hunt-25 allied seals plus contents of chest
Timeworn Toadskin map : B rank hunt-15 allied seals plus contents of chest
Timeworn Goatskin map : Normal hunt-5 allied seals plus contents of chest
Timeworn Leather map : Lowest possible hunt-1 allied seal plus contents of chest

A lot of people I talk to seem to like the idea of hunts - at least B and A rank be like maps. The S ranks can stay as is but they really need to balance the rewards properly.

I said this in a previous thread, but if they implemented some sort of system that multiplied the mob's HP by the number of people in a given zone then this would actually be workable

At this point I would just like to see a response from SE already. It's been nearly three weeks and they remain as quiet as ever.

there are 3 possible ways i can see to fix this
    1. add a cap to allied seals like 750 or so so that towards the end of the week things will die down
    2. have the NM's HP scale to the amount of players in the zone
    3. remove the item used to trade for sands/oil of time from seal vendor and have them item drop only from S ranks at a decent %

I agree with the first 2 points. However, with almost 2 weeks under the belt, the damage is done, and more people would be upset by the removal of the items that everyone's gunning for. I think keeping it there is fine, as long as there's somewhere else you can get them. That way, many people who feel forced into the hunt to gear can finally play the way they want. Add a token system into frontlines(weekly cap), with the logs as a reward. Same on the soldiery vendor. That way, those who actually enjoy the hunt experience can enjoy it, those that would rather pvp can enjoy it, and those who like to dungeon crawl can enjoy it.

Also, hunting linkshells have become scams in and of themselves. Many requiring entry fees of over 100k gil, and they kick you once you log off so they can add room for more suckers.

I would add they also need to curb the myth/soldiery rewards as well since their ease of drop is putting people off doing dungeons now.

SE isn't above taking away things people liked from the game though.
