Hidden power Downs 87 Headrip Ogre kill

I just posted it because I haven't seen anyone kill one yet and wanted the community to know that they can be killed. there is no hurt in that but everyone is raging about it.

Again all mobs 80+ have been killed MONTHS ago and the reason you don't see posts about it is because people are humble and don't try to piss their self believed epeen all over public forums. There is a reason no one does this on BG because it makes you look like a complete and utter tool.

Its a hard fight people can say what they want thats there "right" but its a hard fight its harder than any NM currently in the game just get a group and go try to fight it "ITS NO JOKE" I just want my guys to have some type of experience of what this mob type is capable of. ^^

And I was doing what I needed to do stay alive and not die.

Only reason why I'd be offended by the OPs tone is if I were jealous. It's true, if you can accomplish the same task or feel you and your LS mates are capable of it then there is nothing really infuriating over what he said. If he has a big ego then let him. Unless he is personally targeting you and affecting you in the OP I don't see anything to flame him or his linkshell over.

They stated something pretty valid. If you are thinking about trolling them for the video, focus that energy on getting a group and downing it yourself and sharing the pride in the accomplishment.

Instead, all I see is bitching over the tone. Who cares about the tone. Also, it was later stated that they wanted to put it in general to give players insight on that mob type (which seems to be a dungeon boss). That was my impression for why it was posted before it was even said. No one else got that?

People shouldn't get so easily offended by a video and then blame it on someone stating their viewpoint.

I encourage everyone to try this fight out! In fact if your contemplating R45 Dungeons then I would HIGHLY advise doing this fight.

It is good teamwork and good practice for being more than prepared.

We also believe that the Ogre is only a mini boss. SE wouldn't show us a video of the MAIN boss and not expect people to over prepare for it. They know R45 players are going to be more aggressive in gameplay when they have a outright goal to achieve.

Congratulations, your linkshell has a semi competent tank and a bunch of lancers. That is really all you need to kill any high level mob.

#1: We aren't bragging. You're spinning the view that we are. Myself and Mal do these videos to show people what types of party buildups can fight these mobs.

#2: Gath stated his personal views and people are saying THATS why they are trolling this thread (Which each troll admits to trolling in their own words if you backtrack). Now, WHY would you let ONE person get you all so flustered? He is ONE person stating HIS belief. I say you people need to be a bit more mature and focus on the fight and elements of it. We are trying to help the community out.

I'm saying, usually videos that are attempting to offer tactical advice have a lot more informational text throughout it than the beginning title. other than that, it is just you guys killing the boss. In my experience, only elitists who are bragging about their accomplishments do that, but usually on their LS/Guild/whatevers web page.

Saying no one else has ever killed a headrip ogre ever just helps prove your bragging about your kill. The video was cool and all, good job killing it. But it mainly comes off as a brag. If anything it could have just stayed on youtube with its tags so people could find it at their own leisure, but instead, you guys absolutely had to make sure the FFXIV community knows you killed a headrip ogre by posting it on the forums. Its bragging.

I don't have anything to contribute. I think of the Eorzia's over-leveled monsters as a waste of time to go kill, except for bragging rights >.>. If anything, my party would have used more battle regimens and debuffs.

But the raging isnt about the killing, it's about the self-proclaimed awesomeness & bragging.

Try find anything i wrote / trashtalked about whoever tanked w/e mob, (don exist) cuz i dont play tank.
Helli dont even have a proper tank in my ls, i have 3 mages & well thats basicly it, everyone else is taking a break or quit.

I dont controls peoples real-life or tell them what class to play,
i let them go as what they like to go as.

And we make the best of our abilities, and so far..we done spanktastic. (and thats saying alot for 3 mages)

oh shit, i think i just bragged..but im proud of my current active members.

1: There is no shame in having pride in your accomplishments. Gath has a strong connection to his accomplishments and his LS mates accomplishments. That makes him seem obnoxious to other people.

2: The quip about controlling peoples classes and such was cute: However, This is how you run a successful End Game LS. The leaders usually handle these type of concerns in their planning meetings.

- In HiddenPower we do it a bit different: We still plan but we ALWAYS collaborate with our members on THEIR input and we don't discourage their growth or accomplishments OR pride in accomplishments. It's a family over here. We are tight knit and pride ourselves on that. No one here really cares how you take that or if you even care about that. It's just who we are and what we do.
