Vegas FFXIV Fan Fest: So how close are we to throwing down money for them tickets?

I was able to get my ticket during the advanced sales on the first day, but it was a nightmare... and due to the pages constantly locking up, I was almost double charged... and even when I finally got my tickets, the fifteen minutes were almost up. Hopefully SE will learn that they need to get a more stable vendor next time. It seems none of these small vendors can ever keep up with the stress and high demand of tickets during an extremely limited sale. I look forward to seeing how the ticket-buying experience has improved next year as I believe it's really unfair that some people were excluded from the event simply because they got unlucky regarding the stabilization of the vendor site.

For the last hour I have watched someone lock up the last ticket and then release it. If you are someone that needs a ticket, you can try reloading the page for the next 8-10 mins or so until it pops back up.

How many tickets were sold today? I'm curious how many people we can all expect to see there. Ibwas lucky and got an advanced ticket, but yeesh, what a nightmare. Happy to hear that you all had a more pleasant experience today.

Those of you that bought a ticket in the Advance-Sale, did it ask for your character’s home World?

When I bought my first three tickets for myself and my friends it never asked for the World Server, just the Data center name.


I just bought two more tickets today in this general sale for my other two friends and it asked for both the Data Center and their World Server.

If I go back to edited the first three tickets it doesn’t give the option to pick a World Server while the two new tickets I bought today do.

I bought advanced and only recall being asked for data center. You can always write your world's name on your badge for networking purposes.

The option for World name has been enabled as of the new tickets that went on sale today. If you purchased your tickets last week and only selected a Data Center, you can go back and edit in your World name on your tickets. To do so, simply select another Data Center and the World Name field will appear, select your correct Data Center and then choose your World.

We'll be sending a message to current ticket holders that have not selected a World name and informing them of this!

I'm so excited about this. I took for granted how fast tickets would sell for this during the advanced sales and missed out. I literally sat at my computer refreshing the page a few minutes before 1:30 EDT. I immediately clicked the order now button as soon as it was available. I was able to order tickets for myself and my sister. After getting my confirmation email I went back to the order page just to see how many tickets were left. The site just said "Unavailable". I'm guessing they just limited the amount of people who could be buying tickets at the same time so they didn't bog down the servers. 30-40 mins later I checked again and there were only 120 tickets left. Glad I got in when I did to get mine.

I wish I knew about this before I purchased my SOE live tickets. I WILL be attending next year for sure
