The "Yoshi needs more sleep" petition! Save him before it's too late!

It doesn't matter what the actual facts are, one look at that picture and you can tell he needs sleep. I wouldn't go as far as a full vacation (he probably would just be worrying about the game anyway), but at least a full night's rest, I will second that.

Seriously have any of you ever had kids before? I was lucky when I took my premie daughter home that I could get 3 hours of sleep in a night...for 4 monthes straight of that. Obviously this game is Yoshi-P's baby...he will find a way to sleep when he needs it. He doesn't need anyone petitioning for him...and if SE is really keep him so busy that he needs sleep...then shame on a company for putting product before quality of life...however I doubt that is the case.

Nobody can "get by" on only 3 hours of sleep a night for weeks at a time. Not without copious consumption of caffeine, and great expense to one's health. I don't know how old Yoshida-san is, but I'm sure he isn't a college kid anymore.

I have two, and I didn't know what sleep was for 5 years (they are close in age). I also didn't function properly, my health declined, and didn't truly get to enjoy them being babies. So yes, I get it.

Good then we were in the same boat, but you had to do what you had to do. Same goes for Yoshi and anyone else claiming they are running on less than ideal sleep.

It is doable :P If that were the case then humanity woudln't exist XD LOL, but yes it's friggen hard has heck to get by on that little sleep...very hard T_T

meh some people are just like that... I sleep 2-4 hours a day also.
7 wake up
8-5 work
5-11 family time, grocery shopping, watch kid, cook, prep kids lunch, laundry, sometimes 2nd job...etc..etc...
11-(3-5am) play games, my own time

Been like this for few years now and I'm perfectly fine... just need coffee + monster to keep me going lol

I didn't say he was gonna drop dead tomorrow from it, but it's definitely shortening his lifespan, if he's one to care about that kind of stuff.

I for one, believe him. I've worked on software develpoment, and it's crazy. Perhaps not the same as game develpment, but I know that sleeping 2-3 hours per day sometimes looks like a privilge and not a right.

Anyways, all of this reminded me of the EA Spouse thing that happened a few years back, basically a (wow) spouse of a software engenieer at EA sued the company for extremely long hours and bad conditions.

Now, this of course has changed (I think) since the lady won the lawsuit against EA. But it gives us some insight as how game companies work. And now, we all know that Japanese people tend to work a little bit more than other countries, so yeah...2-3 hours doesn't seem that off to me.
